Dear Patients,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. We are glad to inform you that we will be opening our dental practice on May 18th. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we will not be able to operate as normal. Infection control has always been a top priority for our patients and staff. Our office follows the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the US center for disease control and prevention (CDC), and the occupational safety and health administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
Our staff is currently in the office an available this week to make appointments and answer any questions you may have. We recommend that our patients over the age of 60, or with any underlining medical conditions remain on emergency/urgent care status. All other patients may resume routine dental care.
These are a few of the changes we have implemented
o More time will be given for appointments to minimize the number of patients in the office and to allow extra time for infection control procedures.
o You will be contacted by one of our staff members prior to your appointment to ask some pre screening questions. You’ll be asked the same questions again at the office as well as having your temperature taken.
o We will have a hand washing station set up for all patients to thoroughly wash their hands before entering the office. We will also have you wash them before exiting
o Our waiting room will be closed. You may be asked to wait in your car until your treatment room is ready to minimize interaction with other patients. ONLY Patients are allowed in the office, unless patient is a minor or needs assistance.
During this evolving health crisis our protocols will continue to change in order to meet the needs of our patients. Our doctors and staff are available to answer any questions or discuss any concerns you may have. To make an appointment please call our office at 803-432-7627. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
Sincerely,
Robert M Joseph, DMD
