Luanne’s Legacy Links: Teeing Off Against Breast Cancer was created by her family and friends to honor her memory, celebrate her life, and carry on the good she brought into the world.

This isn’t just a golf tournament—it’s a day of giving back, just as Luanne always did. Proceeds benefit the Pink Roses Teal Magnolias Fund at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, a cause close to her heart.

“Physical healing is only part of the journey and this belief is what inspired the creation of the Dr. Diane Barton Complementary Medicine Program,” says the program’s director, Bonnie Mehr. “Our patients say that complementary therapies help them find peace and calm during the most challenging times of treatment.”

Many patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper find that therapies focusing on the mind, body and spirit are helpful in coping with their cancer and managing the side effects of conventional treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.
