You donโ€™t have to be a therapist to save a life.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) gives everyday people the tools to recognize the signs of mental health challenges, respond with confidence, and connect someone to the right support.

Just like CPR prepares you for a medical emergency, MHFA prepares you for a mental health crisis.

Whether youโ€™re a parent, teacher, employer, volunteer, or simply someone who cares about your community โ€” this training matters.

๐Ÿ’› Learn how to recognize.
๐Ÿ’› Learn how to respond.
๐Ÿ’› Learn how to support.

๐ŸŽ‰ Big Congratulations to Tracey Lazore, LCSW! ๐ŸŽ‰
Weโ€™re celebrating a special milestone at Come to the Table Counseling! Tracey Lazore has officially passed her exam and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). ๐Ÿ‘
Tracey first joined our team as an intern from Syracuse University in 2021. After graduating, she stayed on as a therapist and has been faithfully serving individuals and families in our rural community ever since.
Her journey from intern to LCSW is a wonderful example of why we invest in training and mentoring future clinicians. Strong internship programs help ensure that rural communities like ours continue to have skilled, compassionate mental health providers close to home. ๐Ÿ’›
Tracey, we are so proud of you and grateful for the care you bring to our community every day. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŒฑ Food is more than fuel. ๐ŸŒฑ
At the Life Center, we see every day how access to healthy food and learning to cook can strengthen both body and mind. Through our food pantry, community meals, and teaching kitchen programs, weโ€™re working to improve food access and cooking confidence across our community.

Weโ€™re excited to share this free virtual training from Mental Health America exploring how food supports mental wellness and how we can build healthier relationships with what we eat.

A little about me:

Hello! My name is Jessica Perusse. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R) and a Certified School Social Worker (CSSW). I attended Canisius College in Buffalo and earned a Bachelorโ€™s degree in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. I went on to earn a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a concentration in family systems and school social work. I have worked extensively with children and families in school settings, with military members and their families as well as Veterans and their families for over 16 years. As a country girl myself, I have a passion for bringing needed resources to rural communities and have recently opened a private practice for mental health care in Camden, NY.

I work with individuals, couples, families and groups of all sizes. I come from a holistic perspective โ€“treating the mind, body and spirit to help restore a sense of balance in life. We all experience hardships and need help to heal. I am strongly influenced by my Christian worldview; however, I respect the personal uniqueness and self-determination of each individual and provide both faith-based as well as secular approaches to counseling. I use a variety of therapeutic tools such as psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Behavioral Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Intervention Therapy.
