Alliance of International Aromatherapists is having their 2024 Conference in our home base Nashville, Tennessee! Excited is an understatement. This will be my first conference and Marge's retirement appearance. We would love to see you all there! I personally plan on absorbing everything this opportunity has to offer... renowned speakers from all over the world, learning new techniques, and gaining knowledge of sustainable practice that we have yet to discover. another good article on how to choose your EO supplier

Reputable essential oil companies ALWAYS properly identify the aromatic materials they are selling.

This is very important as the chemical composition of aromatic materials is different depending on how they are produced, which also may affect their usage safety guidelines as well as therapeutic properties and aroma.

For example: Is the product an essential oil, absolute, CO2, etc? If the company claims it is a pure essential oil and calls it a CO2, that is a major red flag. EOs, absolutes, and CO2s are not the same thing, and a reputable company will not make that mistake.

PLease DO NOT DO THIS. Internal use of Essential Oils is rarely an acceptable application- no matter the company, or the oil. Proper dilution and encapsulation are unlikely in a home use application. Just PLEASE DO NOT.

So let’s break this down
Oregano is an extremely hot essential oil
Tisserand Institute states it is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. , there is moderate risk for mucous membrane irritation, it also may inhibit blood clotting and pose a drug interaction. There is a moderate risk of skin sensitization, and Tisserand and Young recommend a dermal maximum of 1.1%. They advise not to use topically on children age 2 or younger or for those with very sensitive skin.
This is an oil not to be ingested since it is advised not to use on sensitive skin image what it is doing if you ingest it.

Marjoram while there is no contradiction to use this properly on ones skin it is not recommended to take it orally
Frankincense do not get me started on this one, First of all which frankincense there are 18 species of these trees and it doesn’t say which frankincense they using
Boswellia serrata Should not be used with those on blood thinners or heart medication. Also there is no value in ingesting the essential oil. You can ingest the resin but in moderation
Lemongrass
 There is a caution that a drug interaction may occur if using drugs metabolized by CYP2B6 . In the book by Tisserand and Young the precaution is against topical use in children and infants under age 2 and for those with hypersensitive/diseased/damaged skin. They recommend a dermal maximum of 0.7%.
It is also phototoxic if steam distilled
Look at the maximum percentage to use on ones skin, 6 drops in a vegetable tabled is a disaster waiting to happen
Taking this orally will cause so much harm to your body. If it manages to get through not only will it destroy your stomach but it will destroy your liver.
It might not happen the first time but if you’re using this every single day eventually and I promise you will wind up in the emergency room

Also in the United States using essential oils internally should be only used by a trained clinical aromatherapist with a medical degree.
And this combination of essential oils is a disaster waiting to happen.
