✨ Did you know jaw pain and headaches are often signs of TMJ dysfunction? ✨
This past weekend, Dr. Gerber attended advanced training in diagnosing and treating temporomandibular joint disorders.
A few important takeaways:
🔹 A jaw “click” doesn’t always point to the true problem—it’s often a secondary effect.
🔹 TMJ disorders may result from instability (hypermobility) or restriction (hypomobility) within the joint.
🔹 Overactivity or imbalance in the muscles of mastication—including the masseter, temporalis, and pterygoids—can drive pain and dysfunction.
By integrating these advanced techniques, we’re able to address TMJ conditions with greater accuracy—helping our patients find lasting relief from jaw pain, clenching, and related headaches.
