People living with illness, people who are survivors of illness, people with disabilities, people of all abilities. At Syracuse Therapeutic Yoga there are small group classes, private classes, workshops and Yoga Therapy Sessions all designed for you and your body. Have you always wanted to try a yoga class but the thought of going to a class scares you? You are not alone. We are here to support you and provide a space for you to be with your body and all its uniqueness. All bodies are all designed differently, so we don't all look the same in postures nor should we. Safety and comfort are key along with balance and some laughter too. Yoga Therapy:
What if you could come to see your body as the source of your deepest wisdom, not an enemy or a battleground? Stop fighting with your body, and struggling to "deal with" your emotions. Start cultivating a more loving relationship with your body, heart and mind. Come be supported in your struggles, your longings and your victories. Embrace the wisdom of your body.I practice a body-centered awareness therapy that combines elements of yoga, massage, meditation and psychotherapeutic dialogue to stimulate healing from within. I support your unfolding with a variety of assisted postures and dialogue techniques, holding you in a safe environment so that you can experience deep self connection. You are encouraged to tap into the wisdom of your body and discover your own unique capacity for healing. Explore what’s happening in your body, mind, heart and spirit — and how these are all connected.

✨ When the Helpers Are Tired ✨

We don’t talk about this enough… what happens when the helpers — the caregivers, the teachers, the healers, the ones who always hold space — reach the point of exhaustion?
When the well feels dry, the weight feels heavy, and the strength to keep showing up quietly wavers.

Even those who offer light need spaces where they can lay it down. 🌿

Community care means more than giving. It means receiving, too.
It means noticing when the strong ones are struggling.
It means holding hands when the hand that’s usually outstretched needs to be held.
It means saying, “You don’t have to carry this alone.”

💧 When helpers rest, the work does not disappear — it flows more sustainably.
💧 When helpers are supported, communities grow stronger.
💧 When we fill our own cups, we can continue to pour with love, not depletion.

Let’s keep showing up for each other, not just for the causes.
Let’s build communities where asking for help is celebrated, not silenced.
Let’s make sure the helpers are held, too. 🤝✨

🌻 Never Too Late to Bloom 🌻

This sunflower didn’t get planted until late July… and here it is, blooming beautifully in late October.

A gentle reminder: growth doesn’t always follow the timeline we expect. Sometimes, what’s meant to blossom does so in its own perfect timing.

Whether you’re starting something new, picking yourself back up, or simply learning to grow in new ways — it’s never too late to get what you need to bloom. 🌞✨

🏠 Help Our Friends Make Their House a Home 🏠

When one of our friends moves off the streets and into housing, it’s a beautiful step toward stability and dignity — but that empty apartment still needs the essentials that make it feel like home.

Right now, In My Father’s Kitchen is in need of the following items to help our newly housed friends get settled:

New or Gently Used

🍳 Kitchen essentials: Pots and pans (with lids), forks, spoons, plates, bowls, cups, spatulas, big stirring spoons, can openers, coffee makers, coffee filters, microwaves, and kitchen towels.

🛏️ Bedroom & bath items: Bed-in-a-bag sets (fitted sheet, top sheet, comforter, pillowcases), pillows, blankets, hand and bath towels, and laundry detergent pods.

Each of these simple items brings warmth, comfort, and hope — reminding our friends that they are seen, valued, and loved. ❤️

If you’d like to donate, you can drop items off at our In My Father’s Kitchen office on fridays between hours of 12-2pm, or reach out directly for more information at 315-308-1561

Together, we’re not just providing things — we’re helping restore dignity, stability, and hope.
