The activities department put together their first community event, and it was a huge success! We want to say thank you to everyone that helped pull this together. We had over 35+ families come see the residents for trick or treat. The residents really enjoyed seeing everyone in their costumes and they had so much joy giving out candy bags to the kids.

Special thank you to the staff, family members, Morning Star Hospice, Amedysis Hospice and Gentiva Hospice for contributing and donating supplies for this to happen!! We couldn’t have done it without you all. 🎃🍫

We had a fun time at our Halloween Costume party. Staff and residents dressed up while we listened to fun Halloween songs. The morale committee gave out hot dogs to the staff and we also had cupcakes from Gentiva Hospice!! The residents decorated their own cupcakes the day before for an activity (with edible eye ball candy to make them extra spooky) 👻 thank you to everyone that participated to help make the residents day fun!

*late post* We had an end of summer staff appreciation party! Our administrator and DON were the two staff that everyone wanted to dunk! The water was cold but they were both good sports 😊 Our resident Bobby aka DJ Bobby Blaze, played music for staff to enjoy. Residents came out to celebrate with us. Our maintenance manager was working hard on the grill. It was a fun time ☀️ We appreciate all of our staffs hard work!

Happy grandparents day!! The activity department had a breakfast social because we treat all of our residents like a real grandparent should be treated! We appreciate everyone that helped put this together. Thank you to Gentiva hospice for donating the residents fruit platter. Before the day is over, call your grandparent and let them know you love them ❤️

We had a special makeup social for “National gorgeous grandma day”. Thank you to Serena Stewart from Mary Kay!! she came by and taught the ladies how to apply makeup and let them try samples of different products. The women looked and felt amazing after a fun spa social. ❤️
