Rehab Spotlight!!
Georgia Elkins came to our facility as an in-patient after having stroke that resulted in weakness to both sides of her body. Georgia received Occupational and Physical Therapy services for approximately 6 weeks to regain her all over strength and independence in daily self-care tasks and mobility. Georgia tackled every task with determination to gain back every bit of strength she could. Georgia participated in upper/lower extremity strengthening, balance exercises, sit to stands, transfers, steps, and ambulation. She was enthusiastic and frequently the first patient in therapy daily. After completing a home visit with therapy staff, Georgia was excited to return home with her family. Congratulations!!!
