Join us for a one day conference on mental health related topics, featuring a keynote speaker, choice of breakout sessions, and a panel of experts in the area on mental health.

Community Engaged Occupational Therapy in Mental and Behavioral Health: The Power of Doing
Objectives:
Attendees will be introduced to a community engaged framework for evaluating partnerships
Attendees will recall the distinct contributions of meaningful participation intervention in a community engaged program
Attendees will identify occupation based assessments for use in community based settings

There's No Health Without Mental Health: Assessing and Treating Mental Health in Traditional Medical Settings

Objectives:
1. Explore and reflect on feelings and beliefs of OT's role in mental health
care in traditional medical settings
2. Identify and share occupational based interventions addressing both
mental health and physical dysfunction simultaneously
3. Identify and share the importance of mental health OT in traditional
medical settings to promote client centered and holistic care
4. Demonstrate competency in recognizing and evaluating typical
symptoms of common psychiatric diagnoses
5. Recognizing that change in physical health can directly affect mental
health
Expanding Your Toolbox: Interventions to Promote Mental Health

Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify at least 3 intervention ideas to to add to his/her professional toolbox in order to promote positive mental health.
Participants will increase his/her knowledge on resources available to access treatment activities, tools, and strategies to promote positive mental health.

Sensory and Behavioral Functions for Occupational Therapy Practitioners

Objectives:
Learner will be able to describe the four functions of behavior
Learner will problem solve using the A-B-C model to differentiate sensory based behaviors from other functions of behavior
Learner will define reinforcement and its impact on behavior
Learner will develop knowledge of interventions such as antecedent interventions, token economy, extinction, response cost, prompting, errorless learning
Learner will identify data collection methods using the ABC model
Learner will be able to describe OT’s role on a team and how to support behavior across environments.
Compassion Fatigue: Going from Sick and Tired to Happy and Healthy

Objectives:
1.Participants will be able to identify the difference between burn out and compassion fatigue.
2. Participants will be able to recognize symptoms in your personal and professional life to determine your level of fatigue/resilience.
3. Participants will be able to create a personal resiliency plan to ameliorate symptoms, prevent further incidence, and support resiliency for health and well being.
