We want YOUR Turkey Trot story! If you’re one of the hundreds of runners who have shown up each year for the Canandaigua Turkey Trot- we would love to feature you!

We’re looking for just a few sentences telling us WHY you join us on Thanksgiving morning. Whether it’s in support or in honor of someone special, or to spend time with the family before the big meal, to get moving in the morning or to feel connected to our community… any reason is a good one and might help someone new take the leap and register for the first time this year.

Halloween spirit found its way to our Day Hab walking group at Eberhardt! 👻

Our usual bi-weekly Thursday walk was moved due to the holiday, so, participants showed up Friday in their best costumes. They enjoyed a lively, post-lunch exercise session, walking, skipping, and dancing around the Eberhardt Center to spooky tunes. Their contagious happiness made it the perfect end to a festive week!

Mr. Kim Tenreiro's One-Man Performance of The Timeless Classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

A Ghost Story of Christmas: A Christmas Carol - Presented by Mr. Kim Tenreiro.
This classic take of reclamation and salvation will take place on November 23rd, 2025 at 2:30 pm at the First Congregational Church - 58 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Creative Expressions Music Carolers will be performing timeless holiday classics while you enjoy your delicious, Dickensian boxed lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a dramatic one-man performance that brings to life over 30 characters during the show!
(Mature audiences suggested.)

Tickets are $30 each, or two tickets for $50; event ticket includes a Dickensian boxed lunch and special caroling performance from The Arc Ontario's own Creative Expressions Music program. 100% of the ticket price will benefit The Arc Ontario's growing menu of innovative programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other challenges.

Timeline of the event:
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Dickensian Boxed Lunches Served.
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm: The Arc Ontario's Creative Expressions Group sings holiday carols.
2:30 pm The Show begins!

Our Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) College Experience participants hosted an Open House on Thursday, October 30th!

Faculty, staff, and fellow students were welcomed to view the participants' most recent career project. This was their first step in obtaining their career goals: participants researched a desired field, answered key questions, and created impressive trifold displays of their findings.

Great job to everyone on these professional and well-researched projects! We wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.

Trunk-or-Treat Fun! 👻🎃

We had a spook-tacular time at our Trunk or Treat event last Monday, October 27th at the Main Facility Bus Loop.

It was wonderful to see so many employees, their families and participants join us for an evening filled with fun, community, and Halloween spirit. The trunks were incredibly decorated and overflowing with candy and creativity!

The atmosphere was made even more festive with live music from members of The Dapper Rats, and everyone enjoyed delicious cider and fresh donuts. Thank you to everyone who brought their best costumes and their smiling faces to make this event such a success! 🧡🍬✨

This award recognizes Peter's strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence—qualities that make him an invaluable part of our Spot On Cleaning team.

Meet Linda! She has been an incredible Job Coach with us for 3 years, guiding individuals toward fulfilling careers and helping them reach their full potential.

We asked Linda what she loves most about her job, and her answers sums up this meaningful career perfectly:

What do like about your job?
- I love being onsite with our employees, encouraging them to do the job. Helping them do work that that didn’t know they could do before, and by doing that we are helping their confidence grow!

What is your favorite part of the job?
- I love connecting with our employees, and how to relate with them – and help them see the bigger picture!

Do you get an agency issued device? If so, how often do you use it?
- I get a laptop and a phone (flip phone). I use them every day.

If you can give a piece of advice to someone who is interested in being a job coach, what advice would you give them?
- Dive in and get started! It is very rewarding seeing our employees grow into a job, and by assisting them – they learn that they are very capable of doing anything!
