Briona McBride of our Mary Clark Thompson Family Practice is Thompson’s newest DAISY! Members of health system and nursing leadership surprised Briona with the award for nursing excellence during her shift on Wednesday. They had a special guest in tow – the patient who nominated her. Tamra Clark said Briona has been “my advocate from day 1,” going above and beyond in trying to make sure Tamra’s medications for an autoimmune disease are covered by insurance. “I am beyond appreciative of the time she has taken to help me,” Tamra said, noting she can’t imagine going through this process with a different nurse.
