We had fun at our assisted living community of Clark Meadows this week, making homemade pumpkin and apple pies as well as no-bake cheesecake. Many of the pies were pre-sold but we will be selling the remainder - along with other goodies - in Rayburn Hall today from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. We will also have beautiful knit donations, crafts, baskets and drawings. Proceeds will help buy gifts for a military family Clark Meadows is "adopting" for the holidays!

The Quintessence Wind Quintet's autumn program at Ferris Hills was called "Gustav!" and was a tribute to a beloved cat, with pieces celebrating our love of animals and also including works by composers named Gustav. This piece, "Pink Panther" by Henry Mancini, probably sounds familiar!

In case you missed it, the Finger Lakes Times carried a front-page story this week about an important project at our enriched living community of Clark Meadows, where next year we will open a 12-apartment memory care unit.

Please join us in Rayburn Hall on Tuesday, November 18, as Ontario County Historical Society Director of Education Ben Falter gives a 10:30 a.m. presentation on the Canandaigua Treaty. Signed in 1794 and commemorated each November, it was one of the earliest treaties between a Native Nation and the United States.
