Many wives want their husbands to LEAD, but how can you lead when you don’t quite know what KINGDOM LEADERSHIP looks like. Husbands, your position of a husband carries major responsibilities. In order to lead your family, it takes looking up to YOUR leader for guidance and mentorship. CHRIST is your head! You may not have seen leadership modeled by your father or another strong role model, BUT CHRIST is your example. Study the life of Christ! We often share how a husband should love his wife AS CHRIST loved the church, but what does that look like? It looks like servitude & sacrifice. These are the two main characteristics most men struggle with in their marriage! We often hear the word SELFISHNESS come up in our marriage sessions as a wife is sharing what she needs from her husband. DYING TO SELF don’t feel good to no one, we get it, but it develops us on the inside. True love is sacrificial, it’s patience, kind, not rude or irritable.

Communicating with your wife in LOVE should always include gentleness & tact. We as a church, follow Christ because he FIRST loved us! It’s HIS goodness & kindness towards US that draws us to repentance & change. His love is consistent & unconditional. Leading your family takes having the love of God in your heart. You are appreciated for being the provider and protector. Your wife is also looking for your leadership in your behavior & attitude towards her. She’s looking for your love to be expressed through your caring, gentle, sacrificial, LOVING & FAITHFUL care of her heart!

“There is to some degree a need for certain crimes committed by youth to be dealt with in a particular way, possibly as adults,” said Michael Hall, who runs the Asheville nonprofit Generation 2 Generation. “However, what’s the greater need, arrest them or treat whatever has led them to commit such crimes.”

Hall spent 14 years in prison. His crimes, he admits. “Attempted murder and armed robbery.”

He said he feels passing laws to crack down on teen crime does nothing about the root causes of what’s leading juveniles to commit murder.

“We arrest them, convict them, but don’t treat. With this demographic of youth, what gets focused on is what did they do, not what happened that led them to what they did," he said.

Hall said he needed to go to prison after struggling as a teen. He lost his mother and developed deep anger with no love and no parent around. “I needed to slow down, think, evaluate my life. Everywhere I looked there was not an outlet for someone to say to me, slow down.
