Ohio families deserve access to autism treatment without barriers.

🏛️ House Bill 453 would strengthen insurance and Medicaid coverage for ABA and related autism services — ensuring fair coverage, sustainable rates, and less time on waitlists.

📸 Practicing Real-Life Skills in ABA: Photo Day Edition! 📸

At our Niles location, our learners have been practicing an important life skill —getting comfortable having their picture taken!

For many children, things like sitting still, following directions, tolerating new environments, and smiling for photos can feel overwhelming. In ABA therapy, we break these moments down into manageable steps and use positive, supportive strategies to build confidence and success.

Why does this matter?
💗 Family photos
💗 School pictures
💗 Special events
💗 Milestone memories

These moments mean so much to families—and we’re proud to help make them easier and more joyful.

By practicing skills like posing, waiting, and responding to cues in a fun, supportive setting, our students are building independence that carries into everyday life.

We love celebrating these wins at our Niles clinic—one smile at a time! ✨

✨ Why Pretend Play Matters in ABA ✨

This week in Canfield, our learners were busy exploring the world through pretend play—and it’s so much more than just “playing.”

🧠 Pretend play helps children:
✔ Build language and communication skills
✔ Practice social interaction and turn-taking
✔ Strengthen problem-solving and flexible thinking
✔ Develop emotional understanding and self-regulation
✔ Generalize skills to real-life situations

In ABA, we use play-based, evidence-based strategies to turn moments of imagination into meaningful learning opportunities. Whether they’re cooking in a play kitchen, running a fire station, or caring for dolls, our students are practicing skills that support independence and success in school and beyond.

We love seeing confidence, creativity, and connection grow—one pretend adventure at a time. 💫

📚🥞 Storytime Meets Skill-Building at Our Canfield Early Intervention Clinic! 🐷💛

This week, our learners dove into a fun, hands-on theme inspired by If You Give a Pig a Pancake — and it was a hit!

Through coloring, sequencing, cutting, gluing, and matching activities, our students worked on:
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Following directions
✨ Language development
✨ Early literacy
✨ Social engagement

All while having fun with pancakes, syrup, and a very silly pig! 🐖🥞

We love bringing books to life and turning stories into meaningful learning experiences for our kiddos. Moments like these remind us how powerful play-based, intentional learning can be.

This Friday and Saturday, our BCBAs participated in the Association for Behavior Analysis International® Autism Conference virtually from the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Conference Room. We explored topics such as autism biomarkers, gradualism, treatment fidelity, profound autism, essential skills, treatment effectiveness, public policy, and stimulus control. We are so excited to put our knowledge into action!
