Have you seen our Pollinator Garden coming to life??
The Healing Pollinator Garden is an initiative of The Crucible Center for Arts and Wellbeing, a nonprofit focused on creating spaces for restoration, resilience, and community connection through nature, the arts, and whole-being practices.
The garden is beginning to take shape at 114-116 N 7th in Canon City. It is being developed as a living space for education, reflection, and ecological support. The purpose reaches beyond planting. This space is designed to support pollinators, strengthen local biodiversity, and offer a place where people can slow down and reconnect with the natural rhythms that sustain both land and life.
This project is made possible through the work of The Crucible Center, with grant support from the People and Pollinators Action Network, and with the generosity of Gary and Mindy Minor, who have offered their property as the home for the garden.
How is a pollinator garden beneficial to our community?
• Support for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that sustain local ecosystems and food systems
• Increased biodiversity and ecological resilience in the surrounding area
• Hands-on education around native plants, conservation, and land stewardship
• A space that invites presence, reflection, and connection with the natural world
• Seasonal beauty that draws people into the environment in a meaningful way
