Mark A Aquilino

Mark A. Aquilino, 67, of Canonsburg, PA, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at home, peacefully surrounded by his family and his devoted partner, Suzann, who were by his side. He was born February 27, 1959, in Canonsburg, the son of Betty Malinak Aquilino and the late Tony Aquilino. Mark was a member of St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

He was a 1977 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, attended school for real estate, and worked as a realtor for RE/MAX with 40 years of experience in the field. He also worked as an Real estate investor and had a lifelong passion for building and designing homes.

During his career, he earned the Executive Club annual award for RE/MAX 22 of 24 years and was inducted into the Career Award Hall of Fame in 2010—a prestigious honor recognizing sustained excellence and high-level production achieved by fewer than 30% of all RE/MAX affiliates.

It’s difficult to fully express the depth of this loss, because it’s more than the passing of a remarkable individual—it’s the absence of a presence, a warmth, and a steady, genuine spirit that made life brighter for everyone around him. Even in our grief, there is gratitude: gratitude for the time we shared, for the quiet lessons he taught through his actions, and for the example he set—one of dedication, integrity, kindness, and unwavering loyalty.

Mark’s legacy is one of hard work, honesty, and compassion. He will be remembered not only for his dedication to his career, but for the genuine way he treated others and the positive impact he had on so many lives.

Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding his Harley, and immersing himself in music. He loved attending countless concerts, and he cherished the unforgettable experiences of meeting top musicians backstage—including members of the Rolling Stones. These moments reflected his vibrant spirit, his passion for life, and the joy he found in sharing it with those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Suzann McGeary, and her children, Owen and Madelyn McGeary, whom he loved as his own; his mother, Betty Aquilino; brothers, John (Pam) Aquilino and Todd Aquilino; sister, Jody Aquilino, all of Canonsburg; nephews, Ian (Katherine) Aquilino, Evan (Becca) Aquilino, Amanda (Jeremy) Kittner; and three great-nieces, Reese, Sylvie, and Nina Aquilino; close friends Todd Schrader and Vic DaPra.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Aquilino, and brother, Anthony Aquilino.

Special thanks to AGH Hospice and Caring Missions.

Friends and family will be received Monday, March 30, from 2–8 PM in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, at 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317. 724-745-8120. Funeral mass and burial will be private. Isabelle Mirisciotti

Isabelle Mirisciotti, 98, passed peacefully in her home Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by family. Isabelle was born in Boliver, PA and maintained her love of the country, enjoying classic country music of her generation. At 18 years of age, she married Samuel Mirisciotti and was immediately enveloped in the Italian culture, traditions and cuisine of the Mirisciotti family. She had a special relationship with her mother-in-law Lucia, learning her recipes and traditions which Isabelle carried on throughout her life.

She and Sam began a beautiful life, together demonstrating the sacrificial love of marriage to their four children, whom they encouraged and supported throughout their lives. After Sam’s passing in 1989, Isabelle carried on this legacy by attending her children and grandchildren’s events and milestones, always ready to help others. She also cherished her extended family of brothers- and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews and maintained meaningful relationships with them her entire life. She was beloved by all who knew her. Isabelle’s quiet, loving nature melted the hearts of even those with whom she had only a brief encounter, including the young daughter of a friend who met her in a store and chose to maintain a relationship with Isabelle for the remainder of her life. Her love of children was evident in her first ‘job’ as a volunteer Teacher’s Aid for St. Patrick School, helping to teach reading to the grade schoolers. They dearly loved her and she derived great joy from this position for five years until losing her sight.

Isabelle was well known for acknowledging every birthday, anniversary, milestone and emotional event by sending a card. She remembered every person’s special day and in recent years when she could no longer send them herself, her children did so on her behalf. She was a beautiful singer and although she never performed outside her home, household chores were accompanied by song.

Her greatest joy was her family and truly they were the center of her life until her last day on earth. All she ever yearned for was time with her ‘kids’ and grandkids, just being together and celebrating holidays, people and moments. She supported each of them and was the greatest mother, sacrificing endlessly for her children.

At the ripe age of 82 years old, she had her first green beer on St. Patrick’s Day and started a tradition that would continue the rest of her life. The celebration grew each year as more people wanted to share time with her in this fun and special way. Isabelle’s willingness to try and do more than could be expected carried her through many health challenges in life. Her resilience and determination to remain in her home and her incredible ability to accept whatever life dealt her are an inspiration to many people and will remain part of her legacy. Most of all, Isabelle exhibited selfless love, compassion and grace, expecting nothing in return. She truly only saw the best in others and leaves a vast void with her passing. Sweet” was the word most often used to describe Isabelle and surely, she is claiming her sweetest reward for a life of giving and loving.

Isabelle was predeceased by her husband Sam, her daughter Simone, her mother Sarah, father Howard, sister Rosie, and half siblings Howard, Jimmy and Nancy Lea as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law Frank (Inez), Joseph (Irene) and Tony (Pauline), and two nephews. She is survived by her daughter Lucy (Ed) Hosni of Canonsburg, PA, son Joseph (Roberta) Mirisciotti of Dayton, OH, daughter Mary (Jon) DeMartino of Dedham, MA and daughter Ryta (David) Jungling of Franklin Park, PA; her grandchildren Jeaninne (Keir) Josephson, Joshua (Shirley), Ed (Sara) Hosni, Samuel, Elizabeth (Bobby) Smith and Lindsay (Jason) Penix and several great-grandchildren, Samantha, Scott, Joseph, Mia, Keegan, Mara and Sebastian, half-sister Patty, several nieces, nephews and dear friend Tyran “Teddy” Thornhill.

Donations may be made to the Bright Focus Foundation (brightfocus.org) to support research into macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, March 29, from 2–8 PM in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Charles A. Tatano Sr.

Charles A. Tatano Sr., proudly of Muse, PA, passed to his heavenly reward on Friday evening, February 27, 2026. Born “Colagero A. Tatano” on May 1, 1933, his first name was changed to “Charles” in school because his teachers could not pronounce the Sicilian version. But to his friends and those that knew him well, he was always “Chuck.”He grew up and lived his entire life in Muse, PA – a place that he considered to be a small slice of heaven. Later in life, he named his estate on Locust Street “God’s Little Acre,” and, despite being well traveled, he was happier there than anywhere else on earth.Chuck starred as an athlete at Cecil High School in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It was in this capacity that he earned one of his many nicknames, “Tank,” for the toughness with which he played. Despite being exceptionally intelligent, Chuck was not known for his study habits, and famously bragged that he was only allowed to graduate after his future wife, Jerry Arcuri, helped him study for specially-administered final exams his senior year. He allegedly performed so well that some teachers thought he had cheated – only to be told by the exam administrators that such was impossible because they had watched him take the entire test. After high school, Chuck went to work at Forbes Steel Corporation in Canonsburg, PA. During the Korean War, he served his country as a member of the 101st Air Bourne Division, United States Army. He remained proud of his military service, and was strongly patriotic. The Fourth of July celebration in Canonsburg was known to be one of the highlights of his year.In addition to being a proud American, Chuck was also fiercely proud to be the son of Sicilian immigrants. So proud was he of this heritage, that he often insisted that his pizza be "Sicilian cut.” In 2008, he was honored by the Italian-American Society of Washington County as a Distinguished Citizen. After his time in the Army, Chuck returned to Forbes Steel, where he worked until his retirement in 1981. A serial entrepreneur, Chuck also started many businesses of his own. In 1969, after being told by his wife, “Go get em’ Rockefeller,” Chuck started Tatano Plastics, a supplier/manufacturer of toys for such famous brands as Little Tikes and Combi. Over the many years of Tatano Plastics’ operation, thousands of children found joy in the toys crafted by the hands of Chuck and his sons.In the 1970s and 1980s, he also owned the Longhorn Saloon and neighboring Pool Stable, a popular watering hole and restaurant in Muse.In 1991, Chuck purchased the site of the old Forbes Steel plant in Canonsburg and began a new enterprise – Tatano Wire and Steel. Chuck branded his wire products “Turtle Tuff,” an homage to his brother Alfonso “Turtle” Tatano. The wire mesh that Chuck and his sons fabricated would be used in construction projects all over the country. Over his many years as a businessman, Chuck provided employment to hundreds of people in Washington County and its environs. But despite his many accomplishments, the thing that Chuck was most proud of was his family. He wore the name Tatano like a carabinieri might wear his dress uniform: It was an honor just to put it on. To Chuck, being a Tatano was like being a Kennedy – only greater. He is preceded in death by so many family members that there is certain to be a large family reunion at the Town Park in Heaven. In 1953, Chuck married his high school sweetheart (and perhaps the only reason he graduated) Jerry Arcuri. They remained lovingly married until her death in 1993. Together, they had six children, all of which survive them: Melody (David), Charles Jr., James (Colleen), Jeffrey (Tracy), Brenda (Jamie), and Phillip (Donnise). Chuck also especially loved his 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, whom he considered his greatest legacy. In the book of Genesis, Chapter 32, the Bible says that after crossing the River Jabbok, Jacob wrestled with God and would not let go until he had received a blessing (Genesis 32: 23-30). Long an enthusiastic participant in tests of strength (he could do 75 bicep curls of 15 lbs. at age 75), there is no doubt that Chuck Tatano is eagerly anticipating his turn to wrestle with the Almighty – and that he won’t let go until he secures a blessing – not for himself, but for the friends and family that he cherished so much.Friends and family are welcome from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Parish, Holy Rosary Church in Muse. Interment, with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the United States Army, in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
