You finally have time…
but you still can’t relax.

If this sounds familiar, I wrote something about this today that may help.

If I Found The Time, Why Can’t I Relax? Struggling to relax even when you finally have time? The house is quiet. The kids are occupied …

You’re not just tired from what you do all day…
you’re tired from what you carry in your mind.

The constant remembering
Planning
Anticipating
Keeping track of everything and everyone

Even when you sit down, your brain doesn’t.

That kind of mental load doesn’t leave much room to recover.

So eventually, it shows up as:
• exhaustion that doesn’t go away
• irritability you don’t recognize
• feeling overstimulated by small things
• wanting space but not getting it

That’s not you “losing patience.”
That’s your system asking for relief.

And it makes sense.

🤍 You weren’t meant to carry all of this alone
🤍 You don’t have to keep holding it all together

If this hits close to home, I wrote a blog post to help you understand what’s happening—and how to start feeling better:

“Mom Burnout: Signs You’re Running on Empty…”

Save this for the days your mind won’t slow down.
You’re carrying a lot—and it shows.

04/16/2026

There’s a moment a lot of moms have—but don’t talk about.

You snap.
Or shut down.
Or feel overwhelmed by something small.

And the first thought is:
“Why am I like this?”

“I need to be more patient.”
“I should be better than this.”

But what if the real answer is:

You’re not failing.
You’re overwhelmed.

Burnout has a way of making good, loving moms feel like they’re the problem—when really, they’ve just been running on empty for too long.

If this resonates with you, I wrote something that might help:

“Mom Burnout: Signs You’re Running on Empty (And What You Can Do To Feel Better)”

And if you’re ready for more support than a blog post can give,
In The Now Counseling is here for you 🤍

f you’ve been feeling more irritable lately…
snapping faster…
needing more space than usual…

It’s easy to go straight to:
“Something is wrong with me.”

But what if nothing is wrong with you?

What if you’ve just been carrying too much
for too long
without enough support?

That’s what burnout does.

It doesn’t mean you don’t love your kids.
It means you’re exhausted.

🤍 You’re not a bad mom
🤍 You’re not failing
🤍 You might just need support

I wrote a blog post that walks through the signs of mom burnout and how to start feeling better—gently, realistically.

And if you're at the point where you're thinking,

There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.

It looks like getting through the day…
but feeling irritable, overwhelmed, and completely drained by the end of it.

It sounds like:
“I shouldn’t feel this way… but I do.”

This is something I hear from so many moms.

Not because they aren’t strong enough
—but because they’ve been carrying too much for too long.

If you’ve been feeling this way, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep pushing through it by yourself.

I wrote a new blog post:
“Mom Burnout: Signs You’re Running on Empty (And What You Can Do To Feel Better)”

It walks through:
âś” what burnout actually looks like in moms
âś” why it happens
âś” how to start feeling like yourself again

You can read it below.

And if it hits close to home, you’re always welcome to reach out.
