Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of November... Ashley!

Ashley is one of our on-call supervisors for Sunny Days. She has been with the team for about 4 years. She is originally from New Castle and currently lives in Sharon with her 11-year-old daughter, her husband, and their dog. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys playing video games and is currently writing a book. Her favorite food is tacos, her favorite movie is “You Got Served”, and she enjoys listening to R&B music. A fun fact about Ashley is that she enjoys Comic-Con, Anime, and crafts.

Ashley’s favorite part about working at Sunny Days is getting the opportunity to extend her family and learn new things from clients. Her advice to new employees is: “... Do your best and it will always pay off when you see how much your help can change a person’s life, and the smile they have, telling you they’ll see you next shift is the best feeling in the world. A lot of the people we work for don’t have anyone, so our presence means more to them then you know...” Ashley’s life mantra is: “Never a failure always a lesson, without mistakes there’s no change for the better.”

We are blessed to have Ashley as a part of our team at Sunny Days and cannot thank her enough for all that she does. Congratulations on being our featured caregiver for November!

Meet our Spotlight Employee for the month of October... Kari!

Kari is the Onboarding and Relationship manager for Sunny Days. She has been with the team for 8 years! She is originally from Crafton Heights and now lives in Cecil with her husband Jimmy, 3 children at home, and dogs Millie and Charlie. She has 4 children, Maddy, Alyssa, Logan, Haley, and 2 grandsons Nicholas and Harrison. Outside of work Kari enjoys soaking up the sunshine by her pool, she is active in her church community and enjoys working out and playing games, but most of all enjoys being with her family. Her favorite foods are hibachi chicken and shrimp, and her favorite type of music is country. A fun fact about Kari is that she had all of her children before she turned 30.

Kari’s favorite part about working with Sunny Days is knowing that she is a part of something that helps seniors live safely and comfortably at home. Her advice to new employees is to never be afraid to ask questions, no one expects you to know everything on day one. Take your time, be kind, and trust that you will find your rhythm. We are all learning, no matter how long we have been here. Kari’s favorite memory is visiting clients and simply being with them and hearing their life stories. Her life mantra is ‘Family first, always!’
