Meet our Spotlight Employee for the month of December... Maria!

Maria is the Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist for Sunny Days. She has been with the company for 6 years. She lives in Pittsburgh Pa and has 2 children and 1 Grandchild, as well as a Grand-dog named Niko. Outside of work, Maria enjoys doing projects around her home, reading, collecting and restoring vintage furniture, painting, visiting museums, and hosting wine tastings with her friends. Her favorite kind of food is Lasagna, her favorite movie is Wicked, and she enjoys listening to Classical music. A fun fact about Maria is that in 2025 she completed multiple educational programs under the Department of Human Services Office of Long-Term Living. She received seven Certificates of Completion.

Maria’s favorite part about working at Sunny Days is that the company is always growing and evolving. Her advice to new employees is to always continue to learn and evolve with the field. Her life mantra is “Excellence does not require perfection. When you are passionate about something, failure and imperfections can drive you crazy. Do not chase perfection but chase excellence.”

We also evaluate clients' homes to find a caregiver who will match their lifestyle. For example, if a client has pets, we'll find a caregiver who also enjoys petting dogs or feeding fish.
