Did you know that the glass in windows block the necessary rays that you need to make vitamin D? Sitting or standing in front of a window in the sunlight will NOT raise vitamin D levels.
Outdoor sunlight needs to be directly on the skin and not blocked through a window. As the temperatures get colder and we get less sun exposure, vitamin D supplementation is usually necessary.
On days when it’s nice out, get outside and get some some sun directly on your skin for 20 minutes to produce vitamin D . A little bit can go a long way
