In appreciation for the direct service staff who interact with Stark County residents every day, Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery periodically drops in for Workforce Appreciation Visits. Today we said thank you to AVO Behavioral Health and Recovery 🎉 AVO treats the whole person with individual, group counseling, and more, including art and yoga therapy. WIth the recent Kratom (7OH) ban in Ohio effective as of 12/16/2025, we wanted to share some information on what Kratom is and the issues with withdrawal it can cause. If you or someone you know is actively using this substance and find yourself in withdrawal and need, we can help. Today part of the AVO Team voluntered with the Be A Better Me Foundation for their annual Lamar's Star's Breakfast. Over 200 kids from all schools in Stark County were nominated a "star". AVO donated blankets, hats, gloves, and helped serve. Thanks James, Nicole, and Destiny for helping out!
