As the weather starts to shift, it’s actually the most strategic time to address those spider veins. Here’s why booking your sclerotherapy (often called “scalero” for short) now makes more sense than waiting for summer.
Why Now?
• The “Cover-Up” Period: Sclerotherapy usually requires wearing compression stockings for several days to a couple of weeks post-treatment. It is much more comfortable to layer these under jeans or leggings in cooler weather than to sport them in 90-degree heat.
• Sun Protection: Treated areas can be sensitive to UV rays, which may cause hyperpigmentation (dark spots) if exposed to the sun too soon. Getting it done now means you’re safely covered by winter layers.

Born and raised in Stark County, Dr. Robinson received all of his education and medical training in Ohio before embarking on his career at Atrium OB/GYN. DR. Robinson is one of the founders at The Spa at Atrium. He enjoys helping people become the best versions of themselves. Outside of working, he is happily married to his high school sweetheart and enjoys playing golf, learning history, and especially watching his children and grandchildren grow and develop.
