Michael E. Bailey

Michael Bailey, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to the people he cared for most. He is survived by his wife, Clarissa, and their six children who were the pride of his life: Abygail, Carsyn, Ethyn, Gavyn, Izayah, and Kyra.

Michael is also survived by his parents, JoEllen and Matt Lynch, as well as his brothers Matthew Bailey, Jeremy and Sean Lynch. He is preceded in death by his father, Duane, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.

Michael built deep, lifelong friendships, including with Brittney (Wife #2) , Shawn Clark, Ryan Lee, and Cody Rice—friends who became family through the years.

A proud and active member of the East Canton community, Michael poured his heart into coaching his boys’ baseball and football teams. He believed in showing up, giving back, and shaping young people with the same encouragement and grit he lived by.

He was a long time employee of Orion Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the kind of humor that made even the toughest days easier.

Michael loved the outdoors—fishing, hunting, and finding peace in the quiet moments nature offered. He also loved a good argument, especially with his wife, over the eternal rivalry between the Browns and the Steelers. Those playful debates were just one of the many ways he kept life lively and full of personality.

Michael will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty, his stubborn streak, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but the impact he made will continue to live on in his family, his community, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home, 218 Nassau St. E, East Canton, OH 44730. Michael would roll his eyes at a room full of black outfits. To honor him the way he’d want, please feel free to skip the formal black and come in something comfortable and true to your personality.

Arrangements are entrusted to Sanders Funeral Home, 218 E. Nassau St., East Canton, Ohio 44730. Family and friends may offer condolences and share memories at:

Raymond L. Swink

Raymond L. Swink, born November 20, 1947, passed away exactly as he wanted, in his wife’s loving arms on Valentine’s Day. After a lengthy illness, he is finally in his new heavenly body, playing cards with his dad.

Ray’s greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves his wife and best friend of 55 years, Diane (Casto), who was the light of every one of his days. He deeply loved his two daughters, Alicia and Tricia (Joey), and took pride in the women they have become. His grandchildren, Adalea (Kylie), Julius, Cadence, and Liberty Severs (Michael), held a special place in his heart. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his sisters, Terri, Becky, and Peggy (David). He was very proud of his nieces and nephews and their accomplishments.

Ray loved the exchange students he welcomed into their home, considering them his own children. He lived by the idea that family is more than the people you are related to, like Eddie and Roger Courtney, and Paula, Hailey, and Lincoln. Some of his favorite memories were of his time coaching softball and being part of the CS speech coaching team; he considered the players and “speechies” part of his family. His memories, laughter, humor, and stories will live on forever in everyone who crossed his path.

Ray’s family kindly asks that, in his memory, you honor his motto, “Peace and Love,” by performing an act of kindness for someone in need. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Industry United Methodist Church, 155 Faircrest St. SW, Canton, OH 44706. All services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the church. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at noon. A luncheon will follow the service.
