Kenneth E. Thorne

Kenneth E. Thorne, born on January 10, 1958, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, April 21st. He was 68 years old.

Ken was a beloved husband, a caring father, and a joyful grandfather. He lived his life with integrity and a “can-do” spirit, always available to lend a helping hand and offer support to those who needed it, in ways big and small. He had a prismatic mind and was knowledgeable on a variety of topics. A true craftsman, Ken was particularly inclined towards mechanics, small machines, and woodworking. He enjoyed restoring antique vehicles, immersed himself in nature by camping and fishing, and was an avid Nascar fan. Ken also expressed himself creatively through painting, photography, and writing.

Ken is survived by his wife, Beth Thorne, and daughter, Kristen Thorne. Married 25 years to Beth, the great love of his life, they enjoyed gardening and working on home improvement projects. Beth will always remember how loving and patient he was. She found him to be incredibly handsome and enjoyed his sharp sense of humor. They were inseparable. They were best friends. They were soul mates.

Ken’s daughter, Kristen, holds sweet memories of learning photography from her father and flying kites on beaches up and down the East Coast on family trips. He taught her how to build fires, how to be resourceful, and how to live her own truth, even if her choices seemed unusual or unpopular. Ken was instrumental in cultivating a strength of spirit within Kristen, and she will always be grateful for the time she had with her father.

Ken will be deeply and forever missed, but will remain held with love in the hearts of all those who knew him.

Dolores Rose Lindenbaum

Dolores Rose (Dobransky) Lindenbaum, 92, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 23, 1933, Dolores was the daughter of the late Viola (Johnson) Dobransky and Delmar Davis, and the stepdaughter of George Dobransky. As the oldest of eight siblings, she naturally took on a caring and guiding role that she would carry throughout her life.

On July 4, 1952, she married the love of her life, William “Bud” Lindenbaum Jr. Together they built a life rooted in family and unwavering devotion.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, William; her stepfather, George Dobransky; her sisters Virginia Capper, Francis Stull, and Carol Seevers; her brother George Dobransky; and her son-in-law, John Zwick.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Christina Zwick, Bob (Denise) Lindenbaum, Bill (Chris) Lindenbaum, and Tim Lindenbaum; and grandchildren: Jason (LeAnn) Lindenbaum, Jeremy (Vicki) Lindenbaum, John Zwick, Bryan (Amber) Zwick, Leah (Rick) Conner, Lindsey (Brandt) Smith, Ethan (Cole) Lindenbaum, Ryan Lindenbaum, and Wyatte Lindenbaum. She also leaves behind a large and loving legacy of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings Phillip Dobransky, Margaret Price, Walter “Butch” Dobransky, and Christine Andrews.

Dolores lived a life of service, faith, and kindness. She was deeply devoted to her church family, where she was actively involved in countless efforts—from teaching Bible classes, singing in the choir, making quilts for shut-ins, and preparing food baskets for the needy, to organizing projects, baking, and helping maintain the church offices. She found great joy in serving others as she was involved in Habitat for Humanity and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Professionally, Dolores worked for many years as a secretary at Mercy School of Nursing and at Doctor’s Hospital in the Social Services Department, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit.

At home, Dolores’s greatest joy was her family. She loved them deeply and cherished every moment spent together. She also had a passion for gardening—her hands were rarely still, whether planting flowers, pulling weeds, or simply enjoying the beauty she created. Her garden was a reflection of her life: nurtured with care, patience, and love.

Dolores was a lifetime caretaker in every sense of the word. Whether tending to her family, supporting her church, or helping her dear friend Jim, she gave of herself freely and lovingly, always putting others before herself.
