Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Alamance County hosted a meaningful Salute to Veterans, recognizing and honoring the 15 Veterans who call our community home. Each Veteran was presented with a certificate of appreciation, followed by heartfelt prayers, moving poems and patriotic music representing every military branch.

We also took time to honor and remember the Veterans who are no longer with us — their service and sacrifice will always be cherished.

In the afternoon, VFW Post 10607 joined us for a special Veterans Bingo, complete with prizes, cards of appreciation and wonderful conversations shared with our residents. It was a day filled with gratitude, reflection and connection.

Thank you to every Veteran for your courage, strength and service. 💙❤️

Residents at The Pavilion Health Center at Brightmore enjoyed refreshing fall mocktails and tail wags from our beloved therapy dog, Bruce. He always makes us smile! 🐾

Later, they had a wonderful time creating beautiful fall wreaths to hang on their doors. Each wreath capturing the vibrant colors of the season. 🍂 Happy Fall, Y’all!

Residents at Southwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center had a blast playing bingo with our social worker, Megan! 🎉 Big smiles and lots of prizes filled the room, and our beloved pet therapy dog, Little Mama, got in on the fun too. 🐾 Fun, games and furry friends—what a perfect combination! 💙

💙 Honoring the Life of Brittani Torain 💙

Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center recently came together to celebrate the life of Brittani Torain, one of our CNAs whose unexpected passing left a profound impact on our community.

Residents, staff and Brittani’s family gathered in her honor, sharing memories, supporting one another and reflecting on the kindness and compassion she brought to our center every day. Liberty Hospice graciously assisted with the memorial, and we are grateful to Billy Farrish for providing beautiful music that made the event even more meaningful.

Brittani will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 💙

🎉💙 Happy 106th Birthday, Mrs. Watson! 💙🎉

Mary Gran Nursing Center had the incredible honor of celebrating Mrs. Willie Watson’s 106th birthday! 🥳 Born in 1919, Mrs. Watson’s life is a beautiful testament to faith, family and joy. She graduated high school in 1939, married R.V. Watson in 1943, and together they raised two wonderful sons, Randall and Richard. Today, she is blessed with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren! 💐

Mrs. Watson enjoys reading her Bible, attending church services, taking her daily walks and spending time with children and friends in our community. Her warmth and positivity make her the light of Mary Gran Nursing Center. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made her special day unforgettable:

We are so proud of our Pisgah High School Class of 2025 graduates who will take that walk across the stage tonight!! 🎉

💙 Nathalie McMahan, who has worked at the Bluff as a C.N.A. for almost two years, will be attending Southwestern Community College and majoring in Sonography.

💙 Sara Frady, a PCA and Med Tech at Arrowhead Cove for almost two years, will be heading to HCC to become an EMT.

💙 Kenyon Moore, a C.N.A. here for almost one year, will be attending NC A&T State University in Greensboro to study Radiology.

💙 Alldyn Queen, who started as a Geri Tech and is now a C.N.A., has enrolled at WCU and is planning to earn her BSN.

We all wish them a very happy day and a very happy future!! ✨
