Peace Of Mind Massage would Like To Welcome Our Newest Member Of The Team!!

My name is Melissa Bowton, and I am a Reiki Master, Registered Yoga Instructor, military veteran, and dedicated community volunteer. My work is rooted in service, healing, and supporting overall well‑being through holistic and practical approaches.
I began my Reiki journey in 2013 while attending college and navigating service‑related injuries. In 2015, I became a Reiki Master through the International Center for Reiki Training, where I continue as a member. Reiki has been an integral part of my personal healing and professional path.
I proudly served in the United States Military, joining in 2000 and serving with both the Illinois Air National Guard and the U.S. Air Force. My military experience shaped my values of integrity, discipline, and compassion.
Since 2018, I have volunteered with the Peoria Obedience and Training Club, helping families train their dogs in manners and obedience. That same year, I became the handler of my medical service dog, Rance, through K9s For Warriors.
In 2025, I completed my 200‑hour Yoga Teacher Training through a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance, expanding my ability to support physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy biking, motorcycles, animals, plants, and spending time with friends and family. Everything I do is guided by balance, connection, and a commitment to service.
