And no, we're not saying 'it's all in your head.' The pain is 100% real—but the connection between stress and pain is wild.

THE SCIENCE:
When you're stressed, your body releases cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones cause:
• Muscles to tense up (especially in your neck, shoulders, and jaw)
• Inflammation levels to spike
• Your nervous system to become hypersensitive to pain signals
• Blood flow to decrease in certain areas

Basically, chronic stress keeps your body in constant fight-or-flight mode, which amplifies pain.

WHAT HELPS:
🧘 Deep breathing exercises (seriously, it works)
🚶 Regular movement/walking
😴 Quality sleep
🎧 Mindfulness or meditation apps
💬 Talking to someone (therapy isn't just for mental health—it helps physical pain too!)

Let's talk about how you carry your stuff—because the way you're doing it right now might be causing serious damage.

THE SHOULDER BAG PROBLEM:
Carrying a heavy bag on one shoulder forces your body to compensate by:
• Hiking one shoulder up (hello, muscle tension)
• Tilting your spine sideways (creating imbalance)
• Putting uneven pressure on your discs

SMART CARRY STRATEGIES:
✓ BACKPACK: Wear both straps! Distribute weight evenly across both shoulders
✓ CROSSBODY: Better than one shoulder, but still switch sides regularly
✓ PURSE: Switch shoulders every 10-15 minutes (set a reminder!)
✓ WEIGHT RULE: Your bag should be no more than 10% of your body weight

Hear us out: Dehydration is a sneaky trigger for back pain that most people don't know about.

HERE'S WHY:
Your spinal discs are about 80% water. When you're dehydrated, these discs lose height and flexibility, making them less effective as shock absorbers. This puts extra stress on your spine and surrounding muscles.

Think of it like a sponge—when it dries out, it becomes brittle and less cushiony. Same with your spine!

BONUS BENEFITS OF STAYING HYDRATED:
