Where is today? 🎉
We’re supporting the student population at St. Thomas Aquinas by volunteering at Bingo! Each time we volunteer, 20% of the profits go directly to funding the “Mental Mondays” program for their football team—helping support the mental wellness of these student-athletes.
A big thank you to Coach Quad and Coach Rome for inviting us out and partnering with us to support youth mental health in our community! 💙🏈

👉This year, NAMI National is highlighting advocacy actions that can help end the criminalization of mental illness and help divert people from further criminal justice system involvement. We encourage the NAMI Alliance to join National in sharing these actions nationwide, in communities big and small.

This year’s actions include:
💚 Sign the Petition: Add your name to NAMI National’s petition calling for policymakers to decriminalize mental illness.
💚 Write Your Members of Congress: Contact your members of Congress and urge them to support the Reentry Act to help people with mental illness re-entering the community after incarceration.
💚 Share Your Story: Have you or a loved one experienced involvement with the criminal justice system and mental health care? Share your story to help raise awareness, advocate, and ensure stories like yours are no longer overlooked.

NAMI’s Overlooked:
Stories of Mental Illness & the Criminal Justice System campaign continues to highlight the impact of the criminal justice system on people with mental illness through personal stories from the people who lived this experience.

💚 Spread the Word💚

Share NAMI’s National Criminal Justice Month graphics on your social media channels. You can also record and post a short video about mental illness and the criminal justice system or share your own story.
