My Story

I chose Healing Arrow Holistics as my business name because I know first-hand how important it is to consider the whole person when searching for healing…physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I draw from my personal trials and successes with chronic illness and my academic training to help others. Reiki means “Universal Life Force Energy” and is a Japanese healing modality; it is a laying on of hands over your energy centers or “chakras.” Energy wants to flow! We all have life force energy flowing through us. Reiki promotes deep relaxation and SELF-HEALING; it allows your energy to flow again. I am not healing you, but rather I am empowering YOU to heal yourself from the inside out. We all have this power inside of us. I am attuned to the Reiki Master/Teacher Level having trained under Katie Davis, RN and Paula Youmell, RN, Wise Woman Nurse®. I am also a distributor for Young Living Essential Oils, and I love using and teaching about essential oils, crystals, herbs, sound therapy, yoga, meditation, Tapping/EFT, and so much more that can be used for healing. My role as Prospect Research Manager for Hillsdale College in Michigan allows me to work remotely from home here in Canton, NY. Previously I spent over 16 years at St. Lawrence University in similar positions. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education, and my Master’s degree in Education with a School Counseling concentration from St. Lawrence University. My husband, Jamie, and I have four beautiful boys (Noah 22, Chasse 20, Aidan 14, and Daniel 12 1/2). Let us journey together to find yours!

The good news? Well, we survived 💯 of it. We’re still here, though weary and wounded.

All we can do is let go of what’s too heavy to carry right now, and find our “I am OK” in just one moment. Then the next…and the next…

I don’t know about you, but as the sun starts to set on a really busy summer, I find myself still looking for rest and recharge.

Are you headed back to college this week, or going for the first time? Feeling a little nervous? How about the moms out there? Is work about to get crazier as summer hours come to a close? And local schools start up in just three weeks (senior year for some of us).

This…..has been the story of my life (and the last few weeks). I try and I fall. I start over. I try and I meltdown. I start over. Rinse and repeat to infinity and beyond. 😂

But that’s all we can do, right? Start over again tomorrow. And if we’re lucky, we have a few people in our corner who help pick us back up and offer a tissue so we can start over again.

Today’s a good day. The sun is out and it’s not 100 degrees. Do you need one of those people to help pick you up so you can start over? Would you let me help you?

I have time for Reiki this evening (Wednesday) and actually during the day tomorrow and through most of the long weekend. I’d love to see you at the studio in Canton, but if you just don’t have the bandwidth to leave home and really need a tissue, I’m willing to come to you this time. Or we can do a distance healing session online. I just get how hard it can be to start over alone. Truly. 🫂❤️
