Motherhood was never meant to be done alone...

I am starting a Pathways Mom’s Group right here in our community. This will be a space for real conversations about the heavy, beautiful, stretching parts of raising children.

Together, we will walk through the Pathways to Family Wellness magazine from ICPA and use it as a guide to talk about topics like

➡️ Pregnancy and birth
➡️ Nervous system health
➡️ Raising resilient kids
➡️ Informed choices
➡️ The emotional weight of motherhood

But this is about more than information.

It is about becoming a villager.

As our children learn to pull themselves up, walk, run, jump, and explore the world, their little bodies go through a lot.

Falls are normal.
Bumps are normal.
Learning new movements is a huge part of development.

And regular chiropractic adjustments can be a gentle way to support them through all of those milestones.

Because when the spine and nervous system are functioning well, it helps the body do what it’s designed to do.

Let’s talk about your morning coffee.

Because that first cup might be doing more than just waking you up.
It can actually throw off your hormones.

Caffeine impacts cortisol, which is your main stress hormone. And cortisol and progesterone have an inverse relationship. Think of it like a seesaw. When cortisol goes up, progesterone can get pushed down.

And the biggest issue I see is coffee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

That combo can spike your cortisol early, and once it’s up, it often stays elevated for the rest of the day.

So if you’re dealing with:

✨ Anxiety or feeling “wired”
✨ Afternoon crashes
✨ Hormone imbalance symptoms
✨ Trouble sleeping at night

This is one of the first habits I want you to look at.

You don’t necessarily have to give up coffee.

STOP CRACKING YOUR OWN NECK! 🗣️

I know it feels good for a second.
And for a lot of people, it becomes a totally subconscious habit.

You’re sitting at your desk.
Driving.
Scrolling.
Feeling stressed.
And before you even realize it, you’re cracking your neck again.

But if you constantly feel like you need to crack it, that’s a sign something is off.

Most of the time, that relief is temporary because you’re not fixing the reason it feels tight in the first place.

When you keep cracking your neck, you can create too much movement in certain areas, which makes your body tighten up even more to protect you.

So the tightness comes back.
And then you crack it again.
And the cycle continues.

If you’ve been feeling tired tired lately… especially through the winter months… I want you to hear me on this.

Feeling exhausted all the time is something we’ve completely normalized.
But it’s not normal.

One of the biggest things I look at when someone is dealing with fatigue is your adrenals.

When your adrenals are under stress for too long, you might notice things like:

✨ Constant fatigue
✨ Trouble falling asleep
✨ Waking up during the night or not staying asleep

And that combination is a big clue that your body is running on empty.

This is why I really want you to come into the office.
We can run deeper testing and do nutrition response testing to figure out what is stressing your body out and why your adrenals are struggling.

Then we build a plan to support you, so you can actually feel like yourself again.

Hip pain is not normal.

I know a lot of people brush it off as “getting older” or “sleeping wrong,” but if your hips feel tight, achy, pinchy, or uneven, your body is trying to tell you something.

It's also important to remember that when one area gets restricted, other areas start compensating. That’s when hip pain can show up as:

➡️ tightness in the hip flexors
➡️ pain on one side more than the other
➡️ discomfort when walking or standing too long
➡️ pain when you sit for long periods
➡️ low back pain that keeps coming back
➡️ feeling “locked up” or unstable

It can affect your posture, your gait, your workouts, your sleep, and even your energy throughout the day.

This little guy had been dealing with severe eczema and allergy flares for months. It kept coming and going, and eventually it just continued to get worse. His parents were exhausted and looking for answers.
