A little update from me:
I recently traveled to San Diego, California where I spent four days in an immersive Prenatal Massage workshop.
This training was focused on the Heart & Womb, and their undeniable connection. We spent time demonstrating heart-centered validation and dialogue, so that we can really understand and connect with the mothers we have the honor to work with.
I deepened my understanding of prenatal anatomical structures by working hands on with women in the third trimester.
I learned a completely new to me positioning system to make the session as comfortable as possible, and more effectively do a full body prenatal massage!
I learned so many new manual techniques to address common concerns in pregnancy. Working from the sternum to the p***c bone, the anterior of the pelvis, the glutes and ischial tuberosity, to really focus on some of the neglected areas in most prenatal massages. A lot of practitioners don’t do prenatal bodywork. Out of those who do, a lot of them will not do abdominal work prenatally.
Having the understanding of the physiology and the techniques to best support the body, I am so excited to bring this work into my practice.
We spent so much time really breaking down our understanding of what we believed to be true about prenatal massage, and then looking at what is actually true in our practice and those who we serve.
I have openings for prenatal bodywork at my office in Canton, and I also offer in home appointments where I travel to you. Reach out with any questions. I can’t wait to share this work with the mamas who deserve it. 💗
Light & Love,
Meah 🌱
