Sickle Fact of the Day 🩸Sickle Cell Disease is not just pain—it’s fatigue, organ damage, mental health strain, medical trauma, and constant advocacy just to be believed.

Many adults with Sickle Cell are undertreated or denied adequate care, especially in smaller counties like Stark County, Ohio.

If you’re reading this and living with SCD—you are not weak. You are surviving something most people never see.

To my Sickle Cell family:

I want to say this openly and honestly: life has been heavy lately. Grief doesn’t move on a schedule, and sometimes survival takes all the strength we have.

Even when I’m quiet, the mission continues: visibility, dignity, access to care, and support for those living with Sickle Cell—especially here in Stark County where care is still painfully limited.

Thank you for staying. Thank you for being here. We move forward together, one breath at a time.
