🚨 Temporary Emergency Room Entrance 🚨
While our Emergency Room remains fully open, the main Emergency Room entrance will be closed starting Monday, April 20, 2026, due to parking lot renovations.

āž”ļø Please use the alternative ER entrance, highlighted in red in the image.

Our Emergency Room remains fully open and here to care for you and your loved ones throughout this project. This alternative entrance will remain in place until construction is completed. Please be mindful when arriving, as posted signage will help direct and guide you through this temporary change.

Thank you for your patience, grace and understanding as we work to improve our campus.

🌯 Happy National Burrito Day! šŸŽ‰

In honor of this very important (and clearly underrated) holiday, we’re taking a moment to recognize the real heroes…
šŸ‘‰ tortillas
šŸ‘‰ perfectly wrapped goodness
šŸ‘‰ and the ability to eat an entire meal with one hand

Also, official office update:
Joe has formally stated this should be recognized as a national holiday. We’re still waiting on paperwork, but morale is high and burrito support is strong.

Whether you like yours loaded, smothered, or simple—today’s the day to celebrate accordingly.

🌯 Go forth and burrito responsibly.

🩸 Whole Blood Wednesday – Introducing the Series šŸš‘

We’re excited to launch Whole Blood Wednesday—a weekly series dedicated to highlighting the impact of prehospital whole blood and the life-saving work happening across our region.

Each week, we’ll share:
šŸ’” Education on whole blood and trauma care
šŸš‘ Insights into how EMS is delivering blood in the field
šŸ“Š Program updates and milestones
ā¤ļø The real impact this has on patient outcomes

Why focus on whole blood?
Because in cases of severe bleeding, early access to blood saves lives. Bringing whole blood directly to the patient—before they reach the hospital—is changing the way we deliver emergency care.

This is more than a program—it’s a system of care built through collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to better outcomes.

Follow along each Wednesday as we continue building a stronger, smarter response for our communities.

🩸 Whole Blood. Whole System. Whole Response.

Today, we proudly celebrate National Doctor’s Day and recognize the incredible physicians who care for our community with compassion, skill, and dedication. šŸ’™

At DHCHD, we are grateful for the unwavering commitment of:

Dr. Randy Herring, MD - Family Practice & Obstetrics
Dr. Matt Turner, MD - Family Practice & Obstetrics
Dr. Tripp Stone, MD - Chief Medical Officer/Hospitalist/Emergency Medicine
Dr. Bleu Schniederjan, MD - General Surgeon
Dr. David Potter, MD - Orthopedic Surgeon

These physicians go above and beyond every single day—providing exceptional care, showing genuine compassion, and making a lasting impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

In a rural community like ours, their work is more than a profession—it’s a calling. They are here when it matters most, and our hospital is stronger because of them.

Please join us in thanking our doctors for their dedication, sacrifice, and heart for serving Dalhart and the surrounding communities. šŸ‘
