Happy Administrative Professionals Day! 🌷🌟 We are so lucky to have the best team here at Saxony Village.

Help us celebrate one of our lovely receptionists, Kristy! Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with our residents—she loves that our community truly feels like a family, and she’s fit right in from day one.

Did you know?
💡 Kristy spent 7 years in Guatemala as a short term Missions Coordinator, organizing details of trips and building relationships - especially with the sweet children.
💡 She is fluent in Spanish (even acting as a Spanish instructor!)

We are so lucky to have her heart and experience on our team. Thank you for all you do!

Our residents at Saxony Village were treated to a very special performance today. The Notre Dame Select Singers and director Ellen Seyer surprised us with a flash mob and vocal show, and the campus was alive with the sound of music! 💙

We love our partnership with local schools. Make sure to grab your tickets for their spring musical next week to see these gifted performers in action! 🌟

Celebrating 9 wonderful years with Cindi! 🥳🍽️

Our kitchen wouldn’t be the same without her. As one of our talented Cooks, she finds her greatest joy in the simple moments - the smiles, the laughter, and the love she shares with our residents every day. Whether she’s revamping a classic recipe or creating something brand new, Cindi’s favorite part of the job is connecting with residents over shared "Cape memories" and a love for great food.

When asked what has kept her here nearly a decade, she was quick to credit her supervisor, Donna. Cindi says Donna is the kind of leader who is always there when needed (even on her days off!) and can practically make a gourmet soup out of thin air. 😊

Fun Fact: Cindi is a major dog lover! She’s been a proud "mom" to three Pomeranians who shared a combined 42 years of life with her!

Please join us in congratulating Shane McGhee, LNHA, on his new role as Director of Saxony Village! 🧡

Shane joined the Saxony Village family in September 2024, bringing a wealth of experience that started at the very heart of patient care. Since beginning his healthcare journey as a CNA in 2005, Shane has touched nearly every department—from social work and activities to marketing and administration.

For Shane, this role is a calling. Guided by his Faith, he finds his greatest joy in the uplifting spirit of our residents. "The community here is incredible," Shane says. "They’ve embraced my family and me completely, and I feel truly blessed to be part of their lives."

He also brings a unique passion for the "home" in Saxony Village, focusing on the real estate and environment to ensure every resident has a beautiful, peaceful space to call their own. When he isn't here, Shane is likely making memories with his wife and three children, who are his entire world.

We are so grateful to have your leadership and heart on our team, Shane! 🏠✨

Rita is the perfect example of the dedication that makes our campus so special. Her favorite part of the job? The laughs she shares with our residents every single day and how they truly become family.

Employee Spotlight: Pat Gohn! 💛

Meet the lovely Pat, who has been employed with us for 37 years! For majority of her career on the Lutheran Home campus, she was the Administrative Assistant at the Health Center. For so many years, Pat was the first smile everyone saw when they walked into the Lutheran Home. She's always on time, always willing to pitch in - an overall amazing and kind person who we are blessed to have on our team!

Pat is currently a Hostess on our dining team at Saxony Village. Her favorite thing about working here is the residents she interacts with, and she feels helping others and meeting new friends is the most rewarding part of her job.

Thank you for 37 dedicated years of service to our campus! You are so valued and loved! 🎉

It’s a bittersweet day at Saxony Village as we celebrate the retirement of Scott Sprandel. 🧡

Scott has dedicated the last 35 years to making our community a better place, and his impact is felt by everyone who walks through our doors. We are so beyond thankful for his years of hard work and friendship. Yesterday evening we celebrated his legacy at Saxony surrounded by residents, staff and family - we hope he felt every ounce of the appreciation we have for him!
