The Foundation is making an impact!
A Surge in Su***de Prevention Training
We often talk about "bridging the gap," but sometimes the numbers speak louder than words. In all of 2025, the Community Counseling Center (CCC) trained 22 people in QPR su***de prevention. As of late February 2026, we have already trained 109 community members—a nearly 400% increase in just eight weeks!
Rick Strait, our Su***de Prevention Coordinator, recently shared that the Foundation’s support is what makes these sessions possible. By purchasing the necessary training materials and supplies, the Foundation ensures that our staff can focus on teaching life-saving skills to neighbors, co-workers, and friends across our five-county area.
With another large-scale training set for March, we are on track for a record-breaking year of community empowerment. This growth directly supports the Center’s mission to provide high-quality mental health services and handle the hundreds of crisis encounters our staff manages annually.
