Ignite Hope. Spark Change. ✨🔥

Every act of kindness—no matter how small—has the power to light someone’s path forward. When we come together as a community, we don’t just raise awareness… we create real impact.

At CAFY, Ignite Hope is more than a message—it’s a movement. A commitment to stand with survivors, uplift voices, and build safer, stronger futures.

💜 Support.
💜 Empower.
💜 Transform.

Be the spark. Because hope grows when we choose to show up for one another.

As we close out Women’s History Month, we continue to honor those who show up to uplift and advocate for our communities.

For our final feature, CAFY’s Lead Family Attorney shares what it means to support people at their most vulnerable.

He also reminds us that representation matters for men, too. As an advocate for male survivors of trauma and domestic violence, his message is clear: seeking help does not make you less of a man, t’s a step toward healing 💪🏾🫂✊🏾

We’re continuing to highlight the women of CAFY who show up every day to uplift others 💜

Our trilingual Senior Case Manager reminds us of a powerful truth: your strength is greater than your circumstances. Through her work, she helps survivors navigate challenges while holding onto that inner resilience 💪🏾

Alongside her, our School and Youth Case Managers sheds light on the realities young people face today...balancing social pressures, expectations from adults, school, and friendships, all at once.

Together, their voices reflect the depth of care, understanding, and advocacy happening within our community—meeting people where they are and helping them move forward 🌱

CAFY's very own Program Specialist shares how working with a nonprofit serving Prince George’s County felt deeply personal; having grown up in the same community she now pours into.

Her work is rooted in connection and access, helping bring free programs, events, and outreach directly to the people who need them most. A full-circle moment of giving back, uplifting others, and continuing the legacy of women making change in their communities. 🫂

CAFY's Victim Services Cordinator shares one of the biggest challenges survivors face:
➡️ finding safe stable housing
➡️ Credit barriers and financial hardship often stand in the way of securing a place to heal.

Through CAFY, she works to bridge that gap—using every available resource to help survivors find a path forward.

She also opened up about the importance of self-care. With encouragement from CAFY's CEO Arleen Joell, she’s learned that caring for herself isn’t optional—it’s necessary to continue showing up for others.
Her message to survivors: speak up, advocate for yourself, and own your story. No one knows it better than you ✨

This Women’s Month, we’re amplifying the voices that matter. 💜

In this interview, our CEO Arleen Joel speaks with one of our senior case managers about the realities women and girls continue to face—especially the challenges of being heard in court and the ongoing need for stronger resources and support.

At CAFY, we are committed to serving survivors of crime, trauma, and violence through compassionate care, advocacy, and action. From our Safe Address Program to our Home Program, we work every day to create safer pathways forward 🌱
