Many talents, passions, and stories have passed through our doors here at Beyond Addiction. It is an honor to witness.

One young lady in particular wrote this two part poem, a conversation between her and her addiction. She was excited to prepare it in a way that we could share it with all of you. It is pictured as part of this post.

Our uniqueness aside, this is a poetic expression of the common place our addictions can take all of us.

“We are people who normally would not mix. But there exists among us a fellowship, a friendliness, and an understanding which is indescribably wonderful. We are like the passengers of a great liner the moment after rescue from shipwreck when camaraderie, joyousness and democracy pervade…The tremendous fact for every one of us is that we have discovered a common solution.” (excerpt taken from chapter 2 of the AA Big Book)

Today marks 3 years of helping women to achieve their goals. Goals that they thought at one time to be unattainable.
Today we celebrate not only our ladies, but our family as well because without the team that we have this would not have been possible.
