A lot has happened since we began this journey back in the fall of 2019. It was my intention to bring the knowledge that I gained during my education to Southern Illinois – to create better rehabilitation and healthcare within the region.
We opened our doors in April 2020, right when COVID-19 was full force. We were fortunate as a small business to survive those early months. Eventually, we grew to hiring staff members, received recognition as one of the best physical therapy clinics from the Southern Illinoisian, and most importantly, started to create a shift in how healthcare was viewed and administered.
My wonderful wife and I also welcomed our first daughter, Callan. As you can see, she’s pretty great! The adage of “they grow up so fast” has never been truer.
Our company’s purpose is to help people become the best versions of themselves. I have always believed that there was a better way. Healthcare is no different. By bringing better healthcare, one person at a time, we can grow strong and age gracefully together.
And we can still do that! Although, it will be in a different location and with a new company.
Suffice to say, Elevate will be closing its physical doors at 214 W Freeman Street on September 2nd. I will be taking on a new position with SIH as a physical therapist at their new outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Energy. But don’t fret. Elevate’s values of one-on-one patient care, no hand offs, no double bookings, and patient-centered care with no biases will be honored at SIH.
While bittersweet, I’m excited to have a great team in Energy. I will be able to focus on what matters most which is being a great therapist for my patients. I’m thankful for the success Elevate has had but enthusiastic to continue growing and educating with others. It is with this post that I would like to personally thank you for trusting me with your health and building a healthier community!
Your boy,
Cody Doerflein, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCS
