This group has been in existence since October 30,2024. It was started to help create a safe and discreet welcoming area to vent, cry, share stories, grieve our losses of our loved ones with no judgement, but instead open arms and understanding from others amongst us enduring similar experiences.
I would like to continue this group but I'm facing some health challenges that may make it more difficult to keep the "doors" open, even if only a few have attended over the past year, it's still a very important service to keep available.
My biggest challenge after having complications from a recent surgery, is the ability to speak. At this time, I cannot carry on a phone or in person face to face conversation due to inability to speak at a volume barely above a whisper. It could be permanent but at this time, hopefully temporary and could take up to a year to regain full strength, at best.
I am not one to ask for help and have managed to keep things going plus working full time since I started this group, but at this time, I'm asking for help in any capacity to keep this group going and these meetings going.
The next meeting is next Wednesday, November 12,2025 6pm at the Cardington Lincoln Public library, lower level community room.
All are welcome, handicap accessible and open to the public.
