Charletta Thomas's parents grew up in Acadiana, south central Louisiana along Bayou Teche, in the 1920s. It was a time when life for Black families was marked by segregation, hard work and perseverance.

We’re proud to give back as a scholarship donor for South Louisiana Community College (SLCC), supporting students who are working hard to build careers in healthcare and caregiving.

We were honored to take part in an event aimed at providing Arnaudville seniors health resources in their community. This event, organized by ULL nursing students, educated seniors, allowed them to ask questions, and even provided mini health screenings. These students definitely showed us that the future of nursing in Acadiana is in great hands. Job well done!

Future nurses are already making a difference!

ULL nursing students identified a need in the Arnaudville community--many seniors weren't aware of local health resources--and they took action!

Students partnered with representatives from A Place at Home - Lafayette, La Jonction Rehab, J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home, and Acadian Ambulance to bring valuable health resources and mini health screenings to Arnaudville seniors, who asked great questions and left with resources to help them stay healthy and connected.

These students showed us that the future of care in Acadiana is in excellent hands!

🌧️⛳ A little rain couldn’t keep us away! ⛳🌧️

This Saturday, A Place At Home – Lafayette was honored to be part of the Mike Guidry Memorial Golf Tournament — an event with a mission that truly makes an impact. The Mike Guidry Memorial Golf Tournament carries on the legacy of Mike Guidry by supporting local veterans and military families through charitable giving, community support, and strengthening resources for those who have served our country. This year’s tournament held even greater meaning, as proceeds also supported Todd Guidry, son of Mike Guidry, in his fight against cancer. The love, strength, and community support surrounding the Guidry family was truly inspiring.

As a veteran-owned business, it meant so much to be invited to attend. We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people who came together for such a powerful cause. Despite the rain, the energy, generosity, and camaraderie on the course were unmatched! Thank you to the organizers, players, and supporters who made this event so special. We’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️🤍💙
