We are excited to officially kick off First Sunday at the Joseph House

Recovery isn’t meant to be walked alone, and neither is faith. First Sunday is simply a space for us to slow down, come together, share a meal, have real conversation, and encourage one another in this journey we’re on.

No pressure. No performance. Just men walking alongside other men, building brotherhood, sharpening one another, and growing stronger together.

📅 February 1st
⏰ 6:00 PM

We believe God does powerful things when His people gather with open hearts. We’re grateful for this house, this brotherhood, and what’s ahead.

Please join us in praying for this event, especially for the hearts of the men. We are expecting God to do big things through First Sundays!💪🏽🙏🏽

🎄 Joseph House Christmas Party 🎄

What a beautiful night of fellowship, laughter, and full plates at the Joseph House!
This Christmas party was more than just a meal… it was family gathered around the table, stories shared, smiles all around, and hearts grateful for how far God has brought each man in this house.

From the delicious homemade food to the genuine joy in the room at present time, it was a reminder of what the season is truly about: community, restoration, and Christ at the center. 🙏✨

We are so proud of these men and the brotherhood that continues to grow here. This is what hope looks like. This is what recovery with purpose looks like.

Merry Christmas from our Joseph House family to yours 🎄❤️ God is so faithful.

🦃Thank You, Rotary Club of Lafayette! 🦃

We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Rotary Club of Lafayette for your incredible generosity in helping supply Thanksgiving. Your kindness made it possible for our men to enjoy a warm holiday meal. Something many of them never imagined they’d experience a thanksgiving meal again. Your support reminds them that they are seen, valued, and surrounded by a community that believes in second chances and fresh starts.

We are deeply grateful for your partnership and the way you continue to invest in the lives of those in recovery. Because of you, Thanksgiving at the Joseph House was filled with hope, gratitude, and so much joy.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Lafayette, your generosity truly makes a difference. 🦃

Today we witnessed something powerful… a life made new.

Malcom publicly declared what God has already been doing on the inside. 🕊️

From darkness to light.
From bo***ge to freedom.
From brokenness to restored and redeemed.

When he came up out of that water, hands raised, there was no denying the presence of God. ALL of Heaven celebrated. Chains broke.

The Bible says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Malcom, we are so proud of you.
Your story is proof that Jesus still saves, still heals, and still restores.

This is only the beginning.
God is writing a testimony that will set others free. 🙌

A huge thank you to Mr. Joe for creating such a strong community moment at The Joseph House this evening!

He blessed everyone with a home-cooked feast of stuffed duck, stuffed chicken, amazing rice, and smothered vegetables that had everyone going back for seconds! 🙌 And we can’t even begin to describe how delicious his dessert was. It was truly the perfect ending to a night filled with gratitude and fellowship. 🥧💛

Moments like these remind us that healing and recovery happen not just through structure and accountability, but also through love, family, and shared meals around the table. 🍽️

Thank you, Mr. Joe, for reminding us what community looks like in action! 💪

Restoration in Progress 🙌

This week, we got a powerful phone call from a former resident that reminded us why we do what we do. Malcolm reached out and asked if he could come home to the Joseph House. After taking a step back and reflecting on where life was taking him, he’s choosing to get things back on track.

We are so grateful for God’s grace, second chances, and hearts that are ready to heal. Malcolm will be joining us at the Joseph House after his time at Red River, and we are believing for nothing less than full transformation.

Welcome back, brother! Let’s keep building the future you were made for. 💪🏽💙

God’s Timing is Perfect

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

Waiting can be hard. We want answers, breakthroughs, and change now. But God’s timing is never rushed, never late—it’s always perfect. Even when we don’t understand, He is working behind the scenes, shaping our hearts and preparing the way.

If you’re in a season of waiting, don’t lose heart. Trust that God is making something beautiful, even in the waiting. His plans for you are good, and His timing is always right.

🎄✨ Tonight, we celebrated our first Christmas at the Joseph House with our four incredible residents, and it was such a joy-filled evening! The guys enjoyed a delicious gumbo dinner (because what’s Christmas in Louisiana without gumbo?!), followed by a fun White Elephant gift exchange that had everyone laughing and having a blast. 🎁

It’s moments like these that remind us of the beauty of fellowship and the importance of community during this season. We’re so proud of these men and grateful for the growth and joy we see in their lives.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Joseph House—it’s because of your love and generosity that these special moments are possible. Merry Christmas from all of us at the Joseph House! ❤️🎄

Help Malcolm on his Journey!

Here is just a little about Malcolm’s life story. It’s one of resilience and transformation. At just three months old, he was given to his aunt and uncle to be raised. His aunt and uncle were devoted Christians, and their faith left a lasting impact on him. However, at age 15, Malcolm left their home, and his life took a difficult turn for the worst. He began using drugs, and by the age of 20, he was married with two children, but found himself in and out of prison for years.

After years of living a life far from the one he’d envisioned, Malcolm grew weary of the path he was on. In a powerful turn of events, he found God and began the journey of turning his life around. Each day brings its struggles, but with God’s guidance, Malcolm is committed to taking one step at a time, walking toward a brighter future.

With your support, we can provide Malcolm a stable, faith-based environment at Joseph House to continue his journey of recovery. Your sponsorship can make a significant difference, giving him the resources and encouragement needed to embrace this new chapter.

Please contact Sober Living Director, Sierra St. Julien, to sponsor Malcolm and help him stay on this transformative path.

Thank you for your support.
