Recovery isn’t about perfection — it’s about direction.
Some days we move forward with confidence, other days we inch along… but every step counts.

Healing happens in the small choices:
• choosing honesty over hiding
• choosing boundaries over burnout
• choosing growth over old patterns
• choosing ourselves, even when it feels unfamiliar

Recovery isn’t a straight line. It’s a daily commitment to becoming who we were always meant to be. If today is hard, keep going. If today is good, soak it in. Either way, you’re building a life you deserve.

One day at a time, and sometimes one breath at a time — but always moving forward. 🌱

A Heartfelt Thank You 🖤
Black Balloon Day was a beautiful success! We had 30 people join us to honor loved ones lost to overdose.
A huge thank you to the AMHC staff and volunteers—we couldn’t have done it without you. Between the music, karaoke, and great food, it was a powerful afternoon of community and remembrance. 🤝

Black Balloon Day Event – Roads to Recovery
March 6th • 1–3 PM

Join us at Roads to Recovery as we honor Black Balloon Day, a time to remember and celebrate the lives of those we have lost to overdose.

The event will include:

Live music

A guest speaker

Karaoke

Food and refreshments

A space to honor loved ones and support one another

In the week leading up to the event, we will have a table set up at the center where anyone is welcome to stop in and write a loved one’s first name on a black paper balloon. These balloons will be displayed in our windows as a tribute to the individuals who are no longer with us.

This day is about remembrance, community, and healing. Everyone is welcome.

Take it a day at a time.
“When everything seems like an uphill struggle, just think of the view from the top." 🏔️
In recovery, some days the incline feels steeper than others. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by how far there is to go, but today I’m looking back at how far I’ve already climbed. The air is clearer up here, and the peace of mind is worth every difficult step.
If you’re struggling today, just focus on the next right thing. The view gets better with every step you take.
