β οΈ ATTENTION β PLEASE READ BEFORE YOUR NEXT INJECTION APPOINTMENT! LONG POST BUT WORTH THE READ SHARE THISβ οΈ
Before you go to a hotel, a pop-up party, or meet with an out-of-state, unlicensed injector β please think carefully. ITS NOT WORTH IT
Your safety matters. It matters to all of us injectors here in Carlsbad, Artesia, Hobbs, and Roswell!
Thereβs a reason laws have become stricter across many states.
Here in New Mexico, you must hold a medical degree to inject patients. We are also required to complete national certification, which involves extensive training and hours of supervised practice before even being allowed to test for licensure.
At Epitome of Youth, we maintain emergency medications and protocols to handle the rare β but serious β complications that can occur, such as vascular occlusion (when product enters an artery). In these situations, minutes truly matter. A qualified Nurse Practitioner or MD knows what to do and can act fast to protect you. RNS trained in medical aesthetics are highly knowledgable and have an NP or Dr with them to assist in an adverse event!
When you go to someoneβs home or hotel room for cheaper injections, ask yourself:
β’ Is there a medically licensed provider present?
β’ Do they have emergency medications on hand?
β’ Are they equipped β and trained β to act immediately in a crisis?
β’ Is the environment clean and are the supplies being used clean?
If someone has a license, they are going to want to protect it. Those who don't, don't have anything to lose. These are the injectors who usually end up in jail. There are several cases where people have went blind! Lost part of their face! Even died from these injections!
This is serious! I've been injecting for 6 years and got my first positive aspiration last month! This is a safety measure we use to help us determine if we are in artery. If we are, we do not inject here. Some injectors don't aspirate at all! I've learned from cadaver training (yes human cadavers) we are all different and not everyones anatomy follows the rules! So always aspirate!!
Unfortunately, Iβve treated patients who came in with complications from illegal pop-up events, and Iβve had to deliver heartbreaking news that could have been avoided.
Please, do your homework and ask questions before anyone touches your face or body with a needle:
π What is their training and background?
π Are they medically licensed in your state?
π Have they completed cadaver dissection and complication courses?
π Do they stay up to date with continuing education and advanced aesthetic training?
I welcome these questions because Iβm proud of the education, credentials, and safety standards I uphold β and I know there are several other highly trained, local injectors who feel the same way.
Support your local, qualified medical professionals who follow state laws and prioritize your safety above all else.
Your health and face are worth more than a bargain price.
