This healthy back has taken me a very long time to get here. She had prior back spasms, tightness, soreness, everything. I made it my goal this year to rid her of all of that.
With a good strong diet, consistent exercise, perfecting my tack, regular bodywork, and acupuncture she’s got a nice healthy strong back!!! 👏🏻🥹🤝

Tools I’ve used:
Red light therapy
PEMF blanket
Muscle spray
Routine acupuncture appointments (game changer!!)

We don’t deserve horses.

Some of the toughest creatures on the planet who, if we’re lucky, pour their whole soul into us. Give us their all. Even if it hurts or is sore, they don’t feel like themselves or have the energy. They show up. My goal in bodywork is to show up for them the way they do us. To show up tired, early, late, sore, or not my best. Because by the time I’m done I feel like myself again. I feel healed by healing them. My goal is to see the things you don’t usually notice or feel the things you don’t usually feel. So I can get to the root and work each bit that I can. That’s how I know I’ve done my job. I’ve released tension, trauma, pain, or a spot they physically can’t get to.

Bodywork, massage therapy, physical therapy is a marathon. Not a sprint. It takes time. It’s a slow burn. It’s the same as training a horse. I’m training their bodies to feel a different way, to relax and retrain their muscles and sensors to not be in a state of flight or fight and to check in with themselves in a way that can be overwhelming or hard to be vulnerable.

No matter what it is. How it feels. We take it together. If they are excelling and performing at their best, then so am I.

Worked on the absolute sweetest thing today 🤍 Wally girl really warmed up to me at the end of our session and melted into my shoulder for her poll release. 🥹
Making even the smallest difference on them means the world to me. Thank you for letting me work on your girl today .eq 💛

A 1 year difference on an all forage, anti-inflammatory diet. 👏🏻🤩😮‍💨 mane and tail are LUSH, body is fully filled out - she is in fact NOT a hard keeper, hooves are growing, cycles are more natural and balanced, and she is more sound and sane than she’s ever been. Just to name a few.. This is the power of deep diving equine nutrition. 🥳🥰✅

2025 Tough Tails Equine is adding a new service to our menu.. Equine Nutrition!
I have officially become a certified equine nutritionist all thanks to the wonderful program through 🤍

Last year I went on a health journey for my mare and every time I fed her I questioned why it looked like bird food, why her mane wouldn’t grow, why her coat was tough, etc etc. I did a Minerals and Metals Mane test through Audrey and was blown away with how insightful it was and how thorough she was. We completely changed her entire diet to all forage, anti-inflammatory and when I tell you, my girl is GLOWING - Inside and out. Her mane is longer than ever, her hooves are growing (iykyk), her coat is soft and glowing, her body has completely changed.

I became obsessed with nutrition, with the art behind it, with the issues and how to fix them. So I took a class and did case studies and poured myself over all my notes and one night I was up till 11pm researching and my husband looks at me and goes, I think you found your calling. I listen to every podcast, watch every QA, and obsess over every little bit of nutrition, seasonal wellness, holistic approaches and now I’ve helped a few other people with their horses and their diets.. the proof is in the pudding honestly.

SO! Now I can officially help every single one of your babies glow from the inside out AND help their bodies feel good too 🫶🏼👏🏻 happy new year from TTE! Let’s get to work!
