Cupping therapy uses negative pressure (suction) to lift and release fascia, tight muscles, and trigger points, improve blood and lymphatic flow to the area, release scar tissue and adhesions, and more. This will help with a variety of conditions, injuries, structural imbalance, and more. It also engages the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body.Β  Light suction provides lymphatic drainage, and heavier application will release adhesions, scar tissue, and bound fascia.

The marks left by stationary cupping are not bruises.Β  Bruising is caused by impact trauma breaking capillaries and fluids rushing to the area. Cupping therapy can be done with gliding or stationary techniques, and stationary cupping can create marks, which are stagnant fluids (toxins, blood, and lymph) dredged up from deeper tissues. The discoloration will fade in a couple of hours to a couple of weeks, depending on the person.Β Check out the link in my bio to learn more!

Starting August 1st, 2024, new rates will apply to all new and existing clients. As you may know, my office will be under new management starting in July, and my rent is going up substantially. I'm just grateful it's not so much I'm forced to move. And at least it's been a year since I had to increase my rates. Cupping therapy, aromatherapy, and hot towel foot wraps will still be complimentary. Discounts are the same, and Himalayan Salt Hot Stone Massage is still a $15 upgrade. When it comes to pricing, my goal is to keep treatment as affordable and accessible to as many people as possible, while offering the highest level of care and service. I value each and every one of my clients, and it is an honor to serve and help you maintain optimal health and well-being.

Current rates (returning clients) effective since 7/1/2023:

1 hour massage: $90
90 minute massage: $130
2 hour massage: $175

New rates (returning clients) effective 8/1/2024:

1 hour massage: $95
90 minute massage: $140
2 hour massage: $185

A couple weeks ago my cousin visited and went skydiving with me! This was my second tandem skydive and her first, and we had a BLAST with Skydive Elsinore! We both paid for photos and video, and it's so worth it! I made a reel with some of the photos, as well as video a friend got. This is the AWESOME video captured by my videographer! She was so much fun!!! We high-fived and spun through the air!!! Thank you to everyone at Skydive Elsinore for showing us a fantastic time!!! I can't wait to go again!!! πŸ€—πŸ€©

Now for my self care PSA: do more of what make you laugh (in my case laugh/scream/cackle while hopping out of a plane)! This was my delayed 40th birthday celebration (big plans canceled by pandemic), and I've been needing to get some fun back in my life after a couple very hard years and a lot of loss and grief. I encourage you to have fun too! It's good for the heart and soul, which is good for your body too! Do something you love and can get excited about, or try something new, fun, and maybe scary! Skydiving was on my cousin's bucket list, and she LOVED it. We're going again when she turns 40! πŸ₯³

Take care, and have fun!!! πŸ€—πŸ€©

Earlier this month my Grandpa Smith passed away. I'm so thankful I had him as my wonderful grandpa for so many years. I'm glad he's no longer in pain and is reunited with the love of his life, my Grandma Fely, who passed away a year and a half ago. They met when grandpa was stationed in the Philippines during the Korean War, and this year would have been their 69th wedding anniversary. Their deep love for each other and fun, adventure-filled life are an inspiration. I loved listening to grandpa talk about their travel adventures along with slide shows of his beautiful photos. He and I shared a love of photography and painting, and he even let me help with the big mural he painted in their home in San Jose.

Grandpa also taught me the joys of learning all about our world and took me to art, history, and science museums, musicals, national parks, and camping. Our family called him the "walking encyclopedia" because of his amazing ability to remember so many scientific facts, as well as family, US, and world history. He also knew tons of jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was brilliant and wise, but he could also be goofy and a big kid, and I admire that.

Grandpa was a foodie long before that was a thing. He taught me to appreciate trying new foods and identify the flavors and aromas in good wine. My grandparents believed in the importance of family and friends, and they showed love by bringing people together for good food, wine/drinks, and fun. Grandpa loved taking everyone wine tasting and sight-seeing along the Mendocino coast when he retired. He loved nature and wildlife, something we share. When I lived with them in Boonville, we would explore the woods, identifying plants and animals. After dinner, we loved sitting around the fireplace and waiting for the critters to visit on the back deck. Grandpa patiently earned the trust of the racoons so they would take a cookie from his hand. He loved feeding the wild turkeys and a peacock named Peter who adopted them too.

I learned so much from you grandpa. Thank you for so many wonderful memories and for all your love and support throughout my life. I will always love and miss you. Hug grandma for me!πŸ’ž
