I have received word that the UNM health system released a statement about the backlog of patients for Dermatology care.

This is a very difficult situation in our state. There are not enough providers of any type especially Dermatology. This is the reason why my wife and I moved our clinic to Carlsbad. We hope to bridge that gap for Southeast New Mexico. While there are many factors that contribute, we support reform to legislation. We stand for patient safety and equity always. We would like to thank ConocoPhillips for the Small Biz Builder program that our very own provider Jayce Rodriguez PA-C attended. The program was well thought out and prepared him well to tackle the business side of our organization. He has already started implementing what he has learned with great results! Thank you The Carlsbad Department of Development for your presence (among other vendors) and Southeast New Mexico College for hosting the event. We asked Jayce Rodriguez what his favorite part was and he said " I felt like I was getting a masterclass on running my business... I feel much more comfortable navigating what I once thought a very difficult path. Also, the catered food helped the message sink in!". We are very proud to have him represent us at this wonderful program.

Let’s pack those bags!

Visit Elevated Events Summer Trade Days this weekend and participate in our backpack drive for the Pack to School Ministry, a collaborative effort between Carlsbad’s Assistance League, United Way of Eddy County and Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation!
