National Doctors' Day 2026

In celebration of , Carlsbad Medical Center is continuing its tradition of making a charitable donation in honor of our Medical Staff. This year, we're proud to donate $6,000 to the Carlsbad Battered Family Shelter, whose mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence and help them rebuild their lives. Offering a range of services including shelter, counseling and more, they provide a safe and supportive environment for families in need when fleeing domestic violence.

Thank you, Carlsbad Battered Family Shelter for everything you do to help those in need in our community. And to our doctors and all of our providers, thank you for the compassion and care you give patients every day. Together, we can help create a safe and healthy community.

The Trauma Department from University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX recently provided a Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC) for our team here at CMC. This training is geared toward Critical Care Staff, EMS Personnel and Physicians, and is designed to help rural hospitals improve trauma care, develop team roles and manage resources efficiently. Thank you to Dianne Hardin, Program Director with SENMC Nursing Department, for hosting and making the class a success.

CMC is a Level III Trauma Center, which means our team is trained to deliver life-saving care and has 24/7 immediate coverage from emergency medicine physicians and prompt coverage of surgeons and anesthesiologists.
