Word on the street is that Medi-Cal will stop covering GLP-1 weight-loss medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.) starting January 1, 2026.

Several patients have already mentioned receiving letters from the State of California explaining that these medications will no longer be covered for weight-loss use due to the 2025–26 budget.
