RISE Beyond [DOUBT]
"Thoughts of doubt and fear can never accomplish anything. They always lead to failure." -As A Man Thinketh
The Great Depression may have been avoided if not for the viral panic and toxic doubt that swept the minds of Americans after the stock market crash of 1929.
Fear was such a prevailing mood that President Roosevelt felt compelled to deliver his now famous words of wisdom, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself". FDR's speech was inspired by Napoleon Hill, author of the mind renewing classic Think and Grow Rich.
Doubt is a seed that grows into a mood of fear, which when sustained manifests itself physically as anxiety. Anxiety is a thief of our power, energy, and purpose. If not intercepted it undermines our health, and creates a negative cycle that spirals into darker places.
There are 3 things you can do to conquer fear and doubt.
1. Renew your mind. One of my favorite revelations about problem solving is this:
"The problem is not the problem we think it is; the problem is the way we think about the problem."
When we change the way we think about the problem, the problem itself changes. Work with a coach if needed, but continue to reframe the problem until the problem can be solved and is no longer a problem. And that's worth thinking about.
2. Action overcomes fear. Isolation and stagnation allow you to soak in the bath of doubt. Action gets you moving, movement creates a path, a path builds confidence, confidence creates momentum, momentum conquers fear. MOVE NOW!
3. Faith. Faith and Fear are direct opposite views of the future and cannot coexist. Both are belief systems about a future condition that has not happened yet.
To boost your Faith muscle, start your day with this declaration: "I am Created by The Creator of all Creation in the image of The Creator Himself; therefore I have in me the power and ability to Create outcomes in my favor."
I accept the blessings God has written into His plan for me.
