Some people have the most fascinating stories and many times…I am IN for the ride!

Getting to know my patients is a huge perk of being a direct primary care clinician because taking the time to know these details (even if not entirely relevant to the appointment at hand) is so important to building a rapport! The stronger the rapport, the better we can work together to improve your health!

🤣 just kidding, we are pretty darn good at our lab draws and try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. In fact I have a fuzzy blanket just for that purpose!

We conveniently draw labs in office to help our patients feel comfortable and at ease. Always the same clinician you see as well as for lab draws so you always know what to expect.

There is a level of comfort you get from seeing the same person each time and developing that relationship…even if they are coming at you with a needle. 😉

💯 my least favorite part of the job. 🤬

Prior authorizations are insurance companies’ way to meddle with your clinician’s prescribing to save themselves money.

It’s just another barrier your insurance company will put up in hopes you won’t fill the prescription. Or maybe your provider won’t have time to file the PA so you don’t ever get your prescription. At the end of the day… It’s all to save them money.

But as a primate clinician, we will do what it takes to get you feeling better…even if it’s fighting these battles.

Girl, we really don’t care if you shave or not. We are not paying attention to that, nor are we charting on that!

We are just happy you are taking care of your preventative health! And we want to make it as easy and comfortable as possible.

Pap smears screen for cervical cancer and HPV (based on age). Pap smears should be done every 3 years from age 21- 30 and every 3-5 years from ages 30-65.

If any abnormal results, we may push those screening sooner, but best advised by your GYN or P*P.

Clinicians are human too and suffer many of the same things you do! I don’t know how many times I have told my patients…”I am right there with you!” Let’s figure it out!

Having a good relationship with a clinician that knows you best fosters so much trust and empathy on both sides. This makes that connection even stronger as you trust I have your best interests in mind and I trust that you are telling me all I need to know to help you feel your best.

That’s what I love about direct primary care.

Better relationships = Better healthcare

Traditional insurance-based “big box” primary care providers have 2500-3500 patients under their care. We limit ours to a fraction of that to ensure you with individualized, comprehensive and high-quality care. This gives me time to know you personally, develop a quality relationship and learn all deets! 😉

👩🏾‍⚕️ We provide such high quality primary care services because we are not limited by insurance.  We encourage our patients to save their insurance use for when they really need it! Believe it or not, we save them 💰!
