Chang's! 🐼 We had so much fun sampling all the classic dishes on this exciting adventure. While every plate was fabulous, our favorites were the chicken lettuce wraps and the wok-fired Mongolian beef. It turns out these are their most popular menu items, and for good reason! 😉

Members are always trying something new in First Steps 2 Fitness, which is why it's so favored around here! 🤩💙 In this session, we used pool noodles to level up our sit-to-stand exercises. By placing our hands on the noodle and rolling it down to our knees, we trigger our bodies to engage in an exaggerated forward lean - the "nose over toes" - to stand up with ease. Just another skill to help our Members maintain their independent lifestyles! 💡

We had the incredible opportunity to host Mary Ann Barothy, Doris Day's fabulous personal assistant! 🎙️🩷🌟

When Doris' dreams of becoming a professional dancer were shattered by an accident in her teens, she quickly turned to singing, which led to her becoming a star with hit songs that resonated with returning WWII soldiers. 💭 As her assistant, Mary dedicated much of her time to being a passionate animal welfare activist. She played a significant role in supporting the founding of the Doris Day Animal Foundation and the Doris Day Animal League. 🐾 It was such an amazing experience to talk to Mary, browse through photographs, and get a glimpse into the life of this icon! 👀

To celebrate World Parkinson's Day, we organized a Step-A-Thon! 🌟

With great teamwork, we exceeded our goal of 60,000 steps and reached over 100,000 steps together! 👏 We got active by walking around the community, running errands, and trying out our brand new NuStep machine in the wellness center. It was a fantastic way to achieve new milestones while having some fun. Participants proudly wore bracelets and pins throughout the community, raising awareness for this important cause here at The Stratford! 👟🌷❤️
